It keeps me up at night working it out. Nearly had it a month ago but lost the train of thought. I knew a man who ate a raw onion a day and lived til he was 91. I tried it when I heard that. He was talking crap I think.

it's the linear dimishing of the appetite that gets me - you'd think it would have to be in some way proportioned to his advancing years, but no.
I knew a woman who didn't really have a defined intake of onions at all, and she lived to 98.

There does seem to be some link between onions and longevity here though. If a man eats an onion a day and lives to 91, a woman doesn't and lives to 98 and Ziggy eats onions most days and is still going at 30, then the following is true:

91x1=91
98x0=98
30x?=30

so

if ? = 0.89 then Ziggy is actually posting from beyond the grave.

I think you might need to factor onion size as a variable. The 98 year old woman ate zero onions of a 'Pre-Pack' size.
