I for one welcome a unionist voice on this forum, if someone can take the time and effort to join in discussion and put forward their own view when clearly a minority voice that's surely a good thing. Things will only change through dialogue.

our local club promotes the culture, there are Irish language classes, there is a trad night once a month. It is imo a welcoming club for unionists, we have a few young lads from the local rugby club who play for our underage teams and they are excellent players already, strong with great co-ordination skills, it is something I hope continues, some of these lads are from strong unionist tradition but their parents send them to keep them skilled during the summer months, the kids love the gaelic football so its a win win all round. At the same time at our presentation night one of the protestant parents was over talking to me and another parent came past and said I hope we skelp the huns next weekend, referring of course to an old firm game, I felt a bit scundered even though I am a Celtic fan also, the protestant lad never took it under his notice but I didn't feel comfortable with him having to even hear that. As for Syferus, I would sooner have 1000 unionists at the club than 1 of him.

If the GAA heads in the north stopped naming clubs after terrorists and playing the Republic's national anthem (seemingly as much as a fûck you to the other side as any nationalistic statement) it mightn't be such an issue.

The only time either side hear the word compromise is when we play the Aussies in Autumn.

why have you such bitterness towards your fellow Gaels in the north, was losing to Down that bad for you? It was only a league game, get over it fella.

I remember back in the day, when BCB was likely in a nappy, they had a fleadh in Cross' on Paddy's day.  The weather was decent and there were so many people "looking for something to do" that there were yokes parked from Creggan to Creevekeeran. Economic unionists are as likely to forego their unionism if a 32 county Ireland if the right package was put in front of them as much as we've seen small n nationalists happy to live in the status quo of a British statelet.

See above. People in the 26 counties would welcome unity, but not having to pay to fix up the place. The British should be expected to leave the place in working order so that people can concentrate on the politics, not funding the place.

Pre Brexit I think the feeling generally would have been that the time had not yet come, a further decade would be needed and the economy needed to recover in any case. As always though the British are fecking things up for their own selfish reasons.

If the occupied territories are unproductive there must be a good bit of potential upside.  It wouldn't be as wide a gap between east and west Germany.
The north would be a welcome counterbalance to Dublin.

How many of these are dangerous paedos though? They recently entrapped a 21 year old with special needs from Tempo in Fermanagh. Arranged some meeting and lured him there and posted the video on facebook. This lad if you knew him obviously has the mental age of a 13 year old and the family of him are absolutely distraught at the allegations and the public shaming they have endured.

Bit of a theme occurring. Don't get me wrong, they've caught out a few creeps who are obviously gullible and stupid enough to think that a 14 year old actually wants to meet them; but I've seen a few now where they've targeted young men who clearly have have mild learning difficulties or suffer some form of autism.
