Today showed what a nasty illness Long Covid is.
Hilarious. Marc O Se made a similar tasteless joke live on air after the match. Maybe it's not as funny to the Tyrone players who suffered from it in 2021. Or the millions around the world who died.
That was particularly hateful. The other pundits were embarrassed for him.

Kerry are bad losers but even worse winners. Marc O'Shea laughing and joking about covid was extremely poor from him.

Bit like Tomas O Se's words in the Indo this week, real lack of class and just shows how much previous defeats to Tyrone got to those lads. You'd hope somebody would have a word with them, it's not a good look.

One thing was clear yesterday. Kerry hate Tyrone a lot more than tyrone even think about Kerry

Seen a former All-Ireland final referee calling Tyrone scum several times online yesterday.

Dublin 1/6
Kerry 4/11

Thought both would be shorter to be honest

The Canavans. What else is there to say? If Tyrone get to a semi and Darragh puts in one more big performance he's in with an all star regardless of who wins the all ireland.
Before yesterday he was 11th place in scores from play in Championship. He's in with a shout but imo still behind Clifford and McGuigan. It all depends how the respective teams do.

Not really a fair stat as other teams have played more games and the likes of Con got to feast on weaker teams like Laois / Louth.
But all stars are usually based on the semis and final so would need to get there.

The shots Fenton and Dean Rock dropped short in the last few minutes really were terribly executed.
Thought it was strange Dean Rock going to grab the ball for that free - Costello had at least been striking them well. Rock's free taking has dropped off a cliff in the last year or two.

Seems like a pointless exercise picking quarter finalists when we don't yet know the draw. But either way its a hell of a lot of matches to play in order to reduce from 16 down to 8 teams and which will be largely predictable in any case.

There will be 16 teams left in the Championship on 17th June
15 days later (2nd July), there will be 4 teams left in the Championship

When will fixture details be released for the 3rd / 4th June games?
If GAA GO and RTE getting two games each you'd imagine the four that would be picked are
Cork v Kerry
Kildare v Dublin
Donegal v Derry
Tyrone v Armagh

Genuine Tyrone fans are not blaming the ref for the result - they are merely pointing as did Enda McGinley on the Saturday game that Niall Morgan's black card for talking back to the ref was the first of its kind we have seen all year. Let's see if this remains the standard going forward for the remainder of the Championship.

The red card I think was a fair call due to the heavy contact to the head, however there have been incidents throughout this year, particularly highlighted in hurling games recently, where a frontal charge to the head has resulted in only a yellow card. I remember Brian Kennedy being blindsided in the same way against Armagh in the last game of the league and it was a yellow also.

The commentary around Gough stems back to the Armagh Tyrone game last year when he sent off 4 Tyrone men and 1 Armagh man for contributing to a melee. This again was an unprecedented sanction, and the talk at the time was how this was a good standard to set to stop melees in the future. When we did see similar incidents later in the year, including Galway Armagh - only one of each team were sent off.

Galway kept Tyrone at arm's length really and the result was never in doubt. For all the talk of Galway being poor they still were clinical enough in front of the posts when they needed to be.

Should be trying a few against Galway for sure as their weakness is the keeper position and lack of height in their full back line

If Derry win Ulster, all Division 1 (2024) teams will be either 1st Seed or 3rd Seeds.

Seed 1 are at home to Seed 3 first. Should make the first round of games interesting.

Is it confirmed that you can't be drawn against teams that you have already played in the Provincial championship..
i.e. Clare v Cork, Monaghan v Tyrone etc.

The official GAA release said "Teams who have already met in that year's provincial final cannot be drawn to the same group"

But the provincial finalists couldn't have been in same group anyway as it is pre-ordained (Leinster Winners, Ulster Runners-Up etc.) so I don't know why that was included
