You yourself noted the Pontzpass Orangemen were not quite the North Belfast variety, this simply reflects the reality of life in Fermanagh villages.

How can you staunchly uphold the reformed faith and yet go to mass? :-[

On a serious note if this was adopted and other positives like parades accompanied by decent bands, nit of the kick the pope variety, would it lead to a lot less opposition to currently contentious parades?

Maybe getting on with their neighbours is more important than "staunchly"  fighting them.

Sadly, recent evidence suggests that moderate voices in the OO will be pushed out by the lunatic fringe. You have the kind of oul fellow in Fermanagh whose Da and Grandda were in the OO and  who looks forward to a couple of days out in July, including a day at the seaside in Rossknowlagh. But this guys children are in Scotland or Australia and are not members and the bulk of members remaining are coat trailers.
