Statements about this depend on where you are. In July and August Dublin got about half the average rainfall, or about one quarter as much as last summer. It wasn't that warm though. Places to the west and north had a lot more rain in August. Ballyhaise, not that far north or west of Dublin had 3 times the rainfall.

Weather changing after a mild November so far.

Met Eireann has advised that it will turning much colder next week with a spell of cold and wintry weather across the country from Monday onwards and throughout much of next week with frost, ice and showers, most widespread in the north and parts of the west.

Hazardous ground conditions are expected Tuesday to Friday due to frost and ice with cold day and night-time temperatures. Expect poor visibility in any wintry showers.

Definite probability of fluffy white stuff on higher ground in the middle of the country at the weekend, and if it falls it will lie around all week. Probably not in Dublin though, so no panic.
