Duine Inteacht Eile

Tiernan Quinn too.

They have plenty to fly through Division 2 next year.

The mother of all victories on Saturday, putting Coalisland to the sword and relegating them to intermediate, doubling up on the championship win. Wealth can't give you happiness, but the small things in life do  ;D

Can clonoe still not end up in intermediate if they lose the game?

Quote from: Tyrone11234 on October 13, 2024, 12:30:19 PMWhat's the general feeling about yesterday's result in Coalisland? Maybe do no harm to go down and rebuild with a young team then come back up refreshed?
Is there much coming through in Coalisland? Correct me if I'm wrong but think McHugh would be the the last one on a Tyrone U20 panel and I don't think there was any minors in the Tyrone team in the last 2 or 3 years either. Obviously that doesn't mean that players haven't developed and are capable of playing at intermediate level but I can't think of any quality players around that age for Coalisland
Have some decent players over the last few years who were Tyrone underage players who are only in their early 20s. Niall Devlin, Ruairi McHugh, Ruairi Campbell, Oisin McHugh, Brian Hampsey. Then you still have your Cathaoir and Tiernan Quinns, Bailey Leonards, Peter Herrons, Cormac O'Hagans off a good age. And obvioulsy you have McKernan and Hampsey.
Surely thats enough of a base for them to rebuild and push for promotion without still playing Plunkett Kane, Stephen McNally, Paddy McNiece, Niall Kerr and Louie O'Neill. Bound to some players on the fringes with potential that could offer something.
Wouldn't doubt them coming back up but not sure if they have any players not already in the panel that could come in and make a difference over the next 3-4 years. I know players develop at different rates and there could well be someone overlooked at underage that you wouldn't think could do well in senior but I'm not sure of anyone yet for them that could potentially step up and contribute from the bench

So the rumours have it, Eskra have flew him home to push for division 2 and offered him a player manager role for next year

It seems the smell of the mushroom factory made a significant difference in Kileeshils championship win. Maybe it needs to stay after all.

You're right. Not many care about that scrap.

Have any other finals been as big of robbery as that yesterday? I can't remember any, Aghaloo should have won that game by around 6 points, they lost it far more than Killeeshil won it but that won't matter to hoops. It is unbelievable the reach of Tyrone TV also, some talk about this junior game across the whole of Tyrone and beyond

Ardboe lost to Dromore in the final with very late penalty after the goalie took down a forward when the ball was going wide.

After taking a point in a 2 on 1 goal chance in the attack before the penalty attack.

:( Isn't that what happened them only 2 years ago

Aaron Boone

Those big wins for Glen & Kilcoo over the weekend will have put a dent in Errigal's Ulster Club ambitions.

Hopefully training is re-adjusted this week to concentrate only on the Tyrone final. The other priorities can wait.

Ballygawleyftw

Darragh Canavan will miss the final.
