Sars turned up and brought the agression and work rate sorely missing in previous years from themselves and other Cork representatives.
Great second half there and Ballygunner struggled to deal with that basic enough puck out of driving it long onto big men looking to flick it onto the runners...
2-3 from a sub even if he did overcarry takes some doing.
The 11 was superb along with O'Connor and a still sprightly Daniel Kearney.
No5 certainly didn't skip leg day, he could prop for Ireland ffs.
Are they the new favourites???

Great win for Sars. Doesn't sit right that they lost their county final though. At least with Kerry football, when a division wins the county the club championship winners go into Munster rather than the county runners up.

Portaferry are hurting from last year, they however didn't get a good friendly in since the Down final and that might have a bearing on how they start.

Ports aren't overly physical themselves and might fancy a shot out.  Not sure I'd agree....

We'll soon find out

As some thought, hard to get to the level SN got to against the Dall again
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

Found out sooner than you might have thought!

OakLeaf

Big start from Portaferry. Slaughtneil not looking sharp at all.

johnnycool

Good start for the Ports, but they will need to maintain that level for 60 minutes.

SN can!

Square Ball

Portaferry not missing too many. SN not at the same level as they were against Cushendall, so far.
Hospitals are not equipped to treat stupid

Saffron71

Portaferry cleaning them out all over the field.  Sneil really struggling to cope with pferry puc outs.  Coughing up primary possession on most occasions.  Plus they've hit a lot of wasteful wides

Athletic Grounds once again being shown off as one of the best pitches around. Throughout all the provincial championships, only Croker last night has had a pitch in as good nick as it.

SN hitting some shocking wides here.
