I think his people over estimated his popularity as well and with the market going the way it has a player of that level unproven outside of Italy was always going to be a risk no matter what he has done there.

Thought he would have ended up at Arsenal all that being said.

Or maybe fans need to get a grip of themselves. I'm assuming they were flying together for Argentina duty, plus, they won a World Cup together. I'm sure many of the South American lads in the Liverpool, City and United squads live in similar areas and socialize. They've a hell of a lot more in common with each other than with the average English punter or online supporter.
