What do we think of Tyrone Gaa turning away RTE and TG4 from shown the Tyrone Championship. Personally think its poor decision. Great opportunity to promote Tyrone football
Where was this reported?

Its certainly disappointing but money talks lads. Half a million to be spent on floodlights in Omagh and Dungannon. Needs must.

Be handy not having to run to armagh again to play our own championship
Imagine a Sat evening NFL match with Tyrone under the lights in Dungannon.

In what world would dungannon be a sufficient venue for a National league game...

The same world that allows Monaghan to host Saturday night games away from Clones, and the same world that has a half filled Healy Park for league games.

Not too many this year, the pitch is still bedding in, but next year it will give an alternative to Omagh for the Friday night games.

Junior Champnionship quarters went according to form anyway looking at the league positions.

Aghaloo through with a few points to spare on Saturday to play Fintona who looked good yesterday. Drumquin conceded two early goals  and Fintona's forward line racked up an impressive tally. Unfortunately Drumquin's discipline meant they played most of the second half with 13 men due to two reds and had a ten minute spell with 12 after a black card which meant it was never really in doubt.

Cookstown  beat Eskra in a tight game and they will meet Drumragh on the other side of the draw who can count themselves fortunate to have got past Glenelly yesterday by a point.

On the weekend's performances Fintona are the form  team with Cookstown/Fintona final looking the most likely outcome, which would mean that both  teams are promoted irrespective of the result.

Would be interesting to see how Fintona would cope in D2. Cookstown seem to be another yoyo team

They will be relegated to junior next year again

Thursday night is massive. If Errigal are going to be stopped getting back to another final I think it has to be KC on Thursday night. If they get past this hurdle I can't see anyone else nipping them in their half of the draw. Very good season to date for KC who I would imagine have no fear, though rightly underdogs.

You've seen better 1st round slates over the years, though potentially interesting games in Loughmacrory v Trillick, Carrickmore v Edendork and Omagh v Ardboe.

Pomeroy v Beragh should be worth seeing in intermediate given Beragh's league form. Talk of a significant injury bug in Clonoe at the minute though I imagine a few teams are in the same boat.
