Assume Cargin/Aghagallon will both be wearing away strips for the final?

Well Kickham's were kind enough to wear away strips in last year's final and this year's semi......cannot see a problem......
Fact check - Creggan wore home jersey in last years final. Aghagallon wore away jersey.

Devastating for Portglenone but they were too clever for their own good today. Going down after frees, slow coming out after the breaks, generally trying to run the clock down and didnít go for the throat when the goal chance was there.  Never say never from Aghagallon.  Referee blew his whistle far too much today, mostly for the team in yellow.  Interesting final now.

Unsure if this is the right thread, or the census one, or the Queen one, or the United Ireland discussion one...but I see if the DUP don't agree to getting the institutions up and running by October 28th there'll be another election before Christmas. Is this true? And if it is then what if there's no change in the seat numbers? What if the protocol still hasn't gone their way?

(It's probably being discussed on the other threads btw. ;D)
Itís up to the SOS.  The only reason he will call one is if he thinks DUP might pick up a few extra seats and pip SF, putting off the evil day when nationalists are First Minister.  There is literally no other reason to call one.  He has the power to extend the current status quo and give the Protocol talks a chance.

General discussion / Re: Russia invades Ukraine Feb 2022

Sure in WW2 they fired then into the front line with no training at all, big reason Russia lost 27million, Germany supposely lost the battle of Kursk even though the casualties rate was 6:1, and tanks lost averaged 9:1 in Germany favour. The landings at Anzio was the reason the Germans withdrew. You can't throw men running into a mg34/42 machine gun, Russia done just that. War changed alot, air power still king, but Artillery got bigger, drone strikes, anti tank weapons have make the day of the tank redundant.
Iím amazed how the Russians didnít gain air supremacy and then they could essentially have done what they wanted.  Surely they have the aircraft numbers to squash the Ukraine airforce, but they seem more interested in blundering forward and back with their artillery. It puzzles me.

The Green Brigade banners about the Queen are moronic.

For those of a certain age, Mrs McClusky from Grange Hill.  A steady pair of hands back in the day.

The old A Level Politics answer staples - postives: Tourism dollars, Poltical stability, Social Cohesion, International Prestige V undemocratic & cost. Having a press that creams itself over them helps.

The Royal family embolden the class system which the ruling elites in GB need to survive.

The public school system, Oxford/Cambridge types, born to rule over us and all that.

She came across as a decent spud, not sure how the tampon wannabe King Charles will cut the mustard in that regard..
I have a notion the British public would rather jump straight to William. They need a strong leader, Charles has always seemed a bit spineless.

GAA Discussion / Re: Assaults at GAA games

Itís a weird aspect that this is said to have happened 30 seconds into the game.  Iíve never seen anyone get that angry in 30 seconds, after one decision?  It looks premeditated.

Terrible incident and I hope the ref recovers fully.  As for yer man, may he never be near a game again.

But we have a wider problem in the GAA that club committees are all voluntary and can be close knit, and itís really putting them in an impossible position asking them to throw one of their own out.  In this case it would be clear cut and couldnít be argued with, but if youíve ever sat on a committee thereíll be times when someone should be disciplined but the repercussions in family circles, neighbours etc is a horrendous dilemma.  Thatís why blind eye gets turned and then bang, something like this can happen.  You can have all the safeguarding policies in the world but the amateur nature of the GAA and itís parish/family structure throws up this problem.
