I know several sports clubs/organisations who have held raffles to win tickets to one of the shows.

How are they going to refund punters who bought tickets to enter in good faith??

Then you have charities that have held auctions and made a lot of money on a couple of tickets.....money which may have been already spent!!

if they had have just stuck to the original 2 nights and not got greedy - would there still have been an objection to just those 2 nights?
or was it the beginning of the end when they started taking the piss with 5 nights?

What's to stop them targetting gaelic football and hurling matches now? Are the specifically allowed any number or a set number of matches per year?

This country is a jokeshop.

No they are entirely safe as they aren't subject to a licence, which is effectively planning permission.

Just got the first hard luck story in regards to this. A woman at works husband had a FREE WEEKEND as she was heading to Dublin for the weekend. Pizza, Xbox, DVDs, p0rn ran from computer through HDMI cable and onto the big screen- all taken from him. She has hotel booked and he may have to go to Dublin now along with her and walk about the f*ckin' zoo.

Premier Emperor

A great victory for a small bunch of busybodies - some of them who don't even live in the area and lots of the objections were forged!

Ehh - the promoters pulled the plug because a resident has taken an application seeking an injunction against the 3 licensed concerts. This will be heard Thursday morning. So no wonder the promoters pulled the plug.

But by all means fire ahead and blame whoever you feel like without any reference to the facts.

QuoteLabour Commission chief executive Mr Mulvey, who was mediator for talks between Croke Park residents and GAA/Croke Park, said negative commentary made following his statement he would play "five or none at all" had made Brooks feel unwelcome.
"He's a human being, a country western singer-he's not a diplomat," Mr Mulvey said.
