If you are using hotmail, which is Microsoft now, then you could download the Outlook mail client and use that.

Quote from: illdecide on September 11, 2024, 09:48:33 AMIrish Government really should finish this scheme and send them sectarian bigots over the edge, they'd go into melt down and tell N Ireland to play their games elsewhere.

They could call it the Apple Casement Park.

Quote from: NAG1 on September 10, 2024, 12:50:09 PMAs with all of these historical cases, they are going to be hard to prove.

The fact he is entering not guilty means they are obviously going to contest everything, going to get messy.

Criminal prosecutions require proof beyond reasonable doubt. I cannot see how many of these historical cases could be proven beyond reasonable doubt, it is a high standard of proof.

Well this put an end to the accusations of the Grab All Association, since thousands of punters want to hand over their cash but the GAA is not interested/

Quote from: Rois on September 08, 2024, 05:58:39 PMSaw a "WTF" incident this morning. Drove through Waringstown on road to Banbridge from Lurgan at 8.30am this morning (Sunday). Passed a jogger, then we had to stop at temporary traffic lights as they were working at the road (think it was the circet people). The jogger ran up past, grabbed the sign that says "Stop here on red light" and flung it to the ground, then ran on, shouting and wagging his finger at the workers.
The only thing I could think of was that he was annoyed at them working on a Sunday. Could that be right (bearing in mind it is a very unionist wee village)? It's not like they were using a pneumatic drill or anything that could have been considered anti-social.

Did he  literally "see red"?

If he was a mad Christian type , surely he  wouldn't even be out for a  run on a  Sunday either?

Psalm 119:32 "I run in the path of your commands, for you have broadened my understanding."

Ah, so he's allowed to run on a Sunday, but only to  and from his church?

That's a very restrictive definition, he could also run to honour his father and mother or use the run to avoid committing adultery.

Quote from: bennydorano on September 08, 2024, 04:46:18 PMSeems another pointless boneheaded decision that will not change the amount of training nor games played as teams look to prepare for the leagues.  Also hard to beat the McKenna Cup in January when people are looking excuses to get out of the house to do something in the depths of a post Christmas funk.

Idiots.

Any team will half a dozen new panel members and will want to see them in a real game. And it is not a coincidence that the record McKenna cup attendance of 19,631 came on a sunny January day after one team involved had won an All Ireland, when the other might have. Apart from anything else, why forgo the revenue?

I don't get this at all. At best it is a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

Quote from: DuffleKing on September 08, 2024, 04:50:46 PMAdvantages I've heard...

Counties can plan their schedule themselves, including making plans around 3rd level.
Counties can host games and take a gate*

* this is the big one.

Of course you could have a well attended game in the Athletic grounds and play the Seven Nation Army, Freed from Desire,  and G for Geezer on the tannoy, but which other team would want to come along?

I wonder if it was a positive one whether they would not have announced it at the meeting?

Quote from: Tony Baloney on September 05, 2024, 08:08:33 PMI thought their main concern was patient safety and not more money  ::)

Well if you were offered almost twice your salary to move to a role an hour away on a train with a less frantic and better staffed hospital, would you refuse it?

I would but I'd be clear that it was for the money instead of lying about it.

One woman on the RTÉ programme said that she would work for the same money, as the Northern system was chaos.

If you are working in a less frantic chaotic environment then patient safety would be better equipped

The extra doh helps though, couldn't be arsed reading it all but are they living in the North and travelling? How's the tax work for that?

One of the doctors noted the tax, since on their Freestate doctor salary you would pay a brave bit of tax. Having paid so much Irish tax you would not owe the UK anything.

Quote from: Armagh18 on September 06, 2024, 02:39:45 PMDepending on the road, the car and driving conditions 100mph isn't that fast at all and most decent modern cars will sit at it no problem safely.

The safety aspect does not come from ability to go, it comes from the ability to stop.

Quote from: seafoid on September 05, 2024, 08:42:17 PMThe health budget is a black hole. I think it's currently €23bn which is around €4000 per head. It could probably employ every single doctor in the North. And what consultants get paid is obscene. There is no management of budgets.

There is no concern for productivity.
But help is at hand

QuoteThere is a fella in Derry called Willy Bonner. Just for clarity Bonner is pronounced Boner in Derry

A pronunciation that is true to the Irish origins of the name.

There used to be a surgeon in Daisy Hill called Kidney.

Quote from: laceer on September 05, 2024, 04:30:01 PMAm sure T-rex have songs that were influenced by the music they heard growing up.

No matter your opinion on their music, Oasis are hugely popular.

Noel Gallagher admitted recycling T-Rex "Get it on", which shows excellent taste.

Play the first 30 seconds of this

However, T-Rex are extinct, while you can still pay surge pricing to hear their riff.
