Why the sudden demand for hill tickets for Mayo supporters.  Stick to the corporate seats and let the real fans get the tickets for the hill.

Would these be the same "real fans" who can't tell the difference between Eric Lowndes and Diarmuid Connolly???  ::)

Laughing at all the Dubs going mad about the Colm Cavanagh tackle - there wasn't a word when Johnny Cooper did an even worse one back in 2015....

The worst pundit bar none and that's saying something with the likes of Bernard Flynn and Pat Spillane bounding about bellowing utter nonsense.

You've obviously never heard Charlie Redmond in action then.... Never ceases to make an absolute fool of himself every time he opens his mouth!

P.S. Just to clear, I'm not a fan of Brady.

I don't know how good Mayo can be but I have no fear of Kerry so I hope we go out and give it a lash, back Kerry up and attack at every opportunity. The positivity or negativity of those who post here won't bother the Mayo team but optimists have more fun and, so, I expect to see the Green & Red in the All Ireland final . And I'm not bothered who the opposition will be either.

Have the Season Ticket's been updated after the Cork game yet? It usually doesn't take this long, just wondering if I need to send them an e-mail.....  :-\

Its interesting 13/19 of team that lost to Longford in 2010 played league Championship/League for Mayo this year. Maybe JOM didnt do a bad job after all.

MAYO: D Clarke; C Barrett, G Cafferkey, K Higgins; D Vaughan, T Howley, K McLoughlin; A O'Shea, P Harte; A Moran (0-2, 45), S O'Shea (0-1), A Freeman (0-5, one free); C Mortimer (0-2, one free), B Moran (0-1), A Dillon (0-3). Subs: L O'Malley for McLoughlin (35 mins), M Ronaldson for A O'Shea (42 mins), T Parsons for Howley (53 mins), WJ Padden for Harte (67 mins).

It shows you how low things were in 2010 when we had to drag Willie Joe out of retirement for a substitute appearance with 3 minutes to go....  :P

Just on the Johnno thing (not going to waste my breath talking about Dumb & Dumber and their fairytale session with Breheny), I recall reading a piece in one of the national papers after his resignation. The journalist told an anecdote about how, shortly after JOM was appointed to the Mayo job, himself and a group of journalists happened to be in the company of a few players at some function or other, one of which was a Mayo player. It was put to said player (who obviously remained nameless) that it was all set up for Mayo now to win Sam in 2007, with the appointment of JOM destined to lead us to the promised land to which the player replied along the lines of "you're joking? We'll go nowhere under him!". To be fair, he was dead right - unless you count rock bottom as a destination.....

Anyway, time to close this thread I reckon as it's going nowhere - FBD starts in a few days and we'll be strapped in again for the roller coaster ride that is Mayo football once again. Bring it on!!  8)

@Zulu - who is this O'Loughlin guy you keep going on about?

Maybe there will be changes before throw-in.

Naming Doherty to start shows a conservative approach imo. Andy and Cillian will play inside with Doherty playing a deep water carrying role. Realistically they can only start 2 from Regan, Andy and Cillian at this stage.

And, at the moment, those two should and will be Andy and Cillian.

BTW, whatever happened to Adam Gallagher?
I think he last played in 2014 and I know he got injured but he hasn't been heard of since. He was certainly a very promising player and we could do with him now if he was around and fit to play.

He's currently a non-playing sub on the Mayo Junior team. I know he had a few injuries, but he's gone off the radar altogether in the past couple of years...

No chip on my shoulder here, I'm not from Dublin....  :P I was merely pointing out that other teams have benefited from incorrect refereeing decisions as well, hence the connection. If it had been other counties complaining (e.g. Kerry, Donegal, Tyrone etc.), I'd be saying the same about them.

Not at all - sure the bullets would bounce off him!  :P

Laughing my head off at the Dubs and their responses to be honest.

They've got very selective memories and I notice that none of them are mentioning Bernard Brogan and the time he went down like he was shot by a sniper in the last minute or two of a Leinster Final, winning a free which enabled Dublin to beat Kildare.

Something about glasshouses comes to mind....

Didn't happen Willie.

Yeah, I know it didn't happen. I was trying to mimick the language some of the posters on this thread have been using about AOS, but I realise it didn't come across like that.

Simply put, I was trying to say that Dublin have been the recipients of some handy frees and controversial decisions themselves. Swings and roundabouts.

Was it a free? No.
Did they win the game because of that free? Yes.
Did we hear any complaints out of the Dubs afterwards? No.
Has any Dublin player ever taken a dive? The answer could break the internet....
