Forgetting about the Greencastle situation for a minute - what is the format with the leagues this year in terms of promotions and relegations?

Is it back to what it had been for years, championship winners up, league winners up and then next 4 teams into promotion play-off? And relegation bottom team down and next 3 in playoff? (Stand to be corrected on the format of relegation and number of teams involved in play-off)

Or are the leagues moving back to 4 divisions for 2023 and how will that affect promotions and relegations?

GK/Onion - you think they should get away with cheating?
I'm sure they aren't the only club with a star 17yr old they could have used to their advantage?
You think they were the only team that played a 17yr old this year?

The question was, you think they should get away with cheating?
Do you think it's ok to record u18s without consent?

Sorry, was it an underage game that was being filmed or not?

An U 17 shouldnt be playing ffs , thats the whole point of it , so that isnt a relevant viewpoint

The bottom line here is that Greencastle broke the rules and have been caught. They should not carry out an action if they are unwilling to handle the consequences. Stop looking for technicalities to get themselves out of this mess.

SportJoe GAA released a post about greencastle referring to the incident. They stated they have been deducted 2 points (for the kildress game for they are only team with concrete evidence he actually played) and the league had now been given to Aghyaran. Link to article below 👇

Looking at u13, it is 11,11,10,16 but there are 4 B teams in that 16.
Excluding the B teams it is 11-11-10-12 so looks reasonably OK.
With the change in age grades clubs would have those groups together for 2-3 years (10.5,11.5, 13) now and would reasonably know the levels.

At u17 these boys would last have been a team at u14* I would think a lot are being cautious. U17 is the last stop to senior so a few hammerings could see an even bigger drop off in players.
*They were u16 at u17 grade last year, u15s at u16 the year before.

What happened the Urney management? Where they not successful somewhere in Fermanagh last season (stand corrected on that btw)

My understanding is that they had taken then Urney job, then got a bit of interest from another club, a Jeffrey Donaldson type meeting was set up and Urney committee got wind of it and let them go before they jumped.
