Very toothless without the African duo. Think we are in for our traditional post Christmas slump.

Not good at all. Sending off if anything didn't help Liverpool at all, the bus was parked afterwards and they couldn't get through it.
Only half time though as they say.
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Disappointing from Trent AA tonight he didn't look interested at times. It is not over yet and Arsenal will have to come out and playin the second leg.

Minamino was seeing the headlines there with that late chance. It was a simple side foot home had he had a bit of composure instead of trying to blast it.

Draw fair result. Liverpool nowhere near enough in attack.

Young Williams looked very lively when he came on.

Still al to play for though.

We generally rely on our full backs to be the creative force, and even moreso without Salah and Mane, but they were both below par last night. Robbo's set piece delivery was particularly bad, and really don't know what Trent was at in the second half moving inside all the time.
We immediately looked far more dangerous when Neco came on and reverted to giving us width.

Jones also made a difference when he came on, and it was only in the last few minutes when we actually looked like scoring, but Taki fluffed his lines. What he did was easy to do the way the ball came at him on the up, but obviously should have scored. He'd done okay up to that, but that's likely his confidence gone at a time when we really need him to step up over the next few games.

Martinelli and Saka have serious pace so no doubt that was playing on the two Liverpool fullbacks minds before they ventured forward but yes TTA is now inclined to position himself more centrally than he probably should, not sure why as that's an already congested area for Liverpool when they're on the attack.
Henderson still good at the workman like stuff but defence splitting passes are going awry at the minute so easy for teams to defend that especially when theres now a derth of crosses coming across into the box from the two wide men.

Minamino should have bagged a goal alright but playing against 10 men Liverpool should have been putting this game to bed with 2-0 or more. Arsenal now have something to play for next week

Trent was just back after testing +ve for covid, wouldn't be too hard on him.

Going by the 'experts' these fit lads should be absolutely fine! No issues at all...
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Are the rumours true about not meeting Salahs wage demands?

That's the thing about rumours.....

I reckon an anonymous GAA forum in Ireland is exactly the place where the nuances of contract negotiations in a huge football club with the best player in the world will be found...

I asked about Salah not Lewandowski;)

Seriously though, would be criminal if he left on a free over wages. Although from a United POV it'd be great if they put him on mad money and he decided to stop putting effort in like most of our players as soon as they get the big bucks.
