Good to see the energy and zip back in the play from the very start to the end.  They looked up for it from the start last night.  Maybe the penny's dropped after the last few flat performances.
TAA addition is huge in that respect. I know he's got things to learn defensively but when VVD is there beside him he looks a much more settled player. His energy levels are fantastic. But would be a great time to start getting a run together of good form to try and cancel out the nerves.

Completely agree TAA still has some flaws defensively more down to his young years but the extra attacking dimension he brings means they can be dangerous down both wings.
Another performance or two like that and no more injuries could keep the PL tight to the end.

He and Robertson are having a competiton on who gets the most assists....I think Robertson has 10 and he has 6.  That is seriously good for your FBs and given that Milner has played there also and has a few assists I'd say we have about 20 from the full back positions.  the defensive spine of Allison-VVD-Matip/Lovern/Gomez- Fab allows the FBs to push high up the field and play like wingers.

They drew with an the form team in the Premier league in Man Utd and Bayern Munich. It's not like they were playing Huddersfield and Cardiff

I'm talking about Leicester and West Ham as well!  Bournemouth aside, since the Jan trip to Dubai the tempo has dropped.

That's just, like your opinion man.

QuoteAn Italian national has pleaded guilty to assaulting Liverpool FC supporter Sean Cox outside Anfield stadium.
Father-of-three Mr Cox, 53, from Dunboyne in Co Meath, Ireland, suffered catastrophic head injuries in the attack ahead of the Champions League semi-final first leg tie between Liverpool and AS Roma on April 24 last year.
He has been recovering at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dun Laoghaire after he spent four-and-a-half weeks at the Walton Centre in Liverpool, a specialist neurological unit for brain injuries, following the incident.
On Thursday, Simone Mastrelli, 30, from Rome, appeared from custody at Preston Crown Court and entered a guilty plea to unlawfully and maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm on Mr Cox.
A separate count of violent disorder was allowed to lie on file by the Crown Prosecution Service after it accepted his not guilty plea to the charge.
Sentencing by the Recorder of Preston, Judge Mark Brown, will follow shortly.
Mr Cox's wife, Martina, was in court for the hearing.
Mastrelli was extradited to the UK last month after being arrested on a European Arrest Warrant in his home country.
Another Roma fan, Filippo Lombardi, 21, was cleared of inflicting grievous bodily harm on Mr Cox in October, though he was jailed for three years for violent disorder.
A third man, Daniele Sciusco, 29, from Rome, admitted violent disorder ahead of the match and was jailed for two-and-a-half years in August 2018.

Great response. you've not answered how many bars and which ones - what's that I hear... bullshit :D
Any we passed were at it flat out so that's at least 8.  If you have been to Anfield when United play there you can't miss hearing it. The so-called Spirit Of Shankly association even sang about Munich during their end of season parties FFS. It's the norm.

How'd you get to the match that day? I'm very interested to hear about these 8 pubs (could've been more) you're talking about.
Over the Bar still hasn't got back to you I see....
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Vidic said during the week that he wouldn't get into the United team ;D
Apparently not as good as Boyata either according to one genius.  ;D

At least he pled guilty, which would signify some level of remorse.

I don't get the hooligan mindset. I tried watching that Football Factories series on Netflix (think its from the mid-2000s), but gave up after a couple of episodes. Halfwit men, often in their middle age, glorying in the fact that they're "hard" and boasting about beating some poor b**tard up and leaving a business card saying something like "you've just met X hooligan gang" on the lad's jacket. Liverpool fans robbing their way through unsuspecting Swiss towns in the late 70s/early 80s, bringing home Lacoste gear, United fans doing the same in England, Millwall fans boasting about destroying Kenilworth Road back in the 80s, some Chelsea "Headhunter" moron selling his memoir and posing for photos outside Stamford Bridge. Worst was some Burnley gobshite showing off his teenage son in the hooligan pub, who he was grooming to be one of the next generation! Idiots, the lot of them.

Why did other clubs stand back and let Southampton buy Virgil Van Dijk for an absolute steal....

A real mystery....

There were plenty on here saying he was overpriced.

The term "absolute steal" certainly wasn't being used.

Talking about his move to S'hampton...

What was the fee- £10m?

Thats an absolute steal.....

Clubs would rather buy cast offs from continental giants than shop in Scottish leagues, top 6 in England too up their own arse to realise plenty of talent in Scotland, thats been my view of the VVD transfer to Soton when it was blindingly obvious he was exactly what Utd Lpool Arsenal City and Spurs needed at the time. Shako and men like thats being bought for savage money at the same time and pure dort.
