.

There were defenders back covering. Should have been a free in.
So what, it's not soccer

GAA Rule states a clear goal scoring opportunity has to be denied to give a penalty.
Not a certain goal but certainly a clear 'opportunity' denied. Its a tight judgement call that he's gave, fair enough call imo as I certainly thought N6 knew exactly what he was at.

Roy Keene's punditry says if you make a foul like that close to goal, you are giving the ref a decision to make which includes a penalty. So you can't complain if the ref chooses a penalty from the options you presented him.

It's dreadful stats but the team still remain in Div 1.

Hindsight tells us the 2021 Sam was the last kicks of a dying scorpion, but the young guns now have to dig in deep v Mayo on Saturday.

Division 1 is the place to be, even if "blooding young lads".

The two points for Galway straight after HT set the tone for yesterday's second half. Like the second period in Celtic Park, there was a real lethargy.

Things can be rosy again in 5 days with a win v Mayo. The lads will want to turn it around and the Canavan bros won't have been in Tralee this gameweek.

A tipping point match today.

Win and Tyrone are looking up and can aim for a spot in the final. Lose and it's a relegation battle.

Mayo at home next Saturday.

Omagh's catchment area has been pretty constant over the generations, but it hasn't been diminished in the last 20 years by the newer/ambitious/rival schools.

It's a big school but not huge like St Columb's Derry.

St Michael's Enniskillen has equally wide catchment.

Plenty of chances created yesterday which was a good sign.

But the amount of wides after half time was hard to take, they all went the same side and the same umpire signalling wide must have been wondering what was going on.

Galway up next at home on Sunday 18th. Very important to win that one to stay in the division.

Momentum maintained with solid win v St Mirren this evening. Brendan in a happier spot compared to pre-Christmas.

Rick has a really strong back catalogue.

Not only is it a pain in the a$$, it just makes the older kids question everything more as well. Whoever started it deserves to have 12 branches of Holly rammed where the stars don't sparkle.
Oldest's last year of Santa this year, so she'll be taking on the mantle for the younger two next year. We'll See how fond of it she is then!!

Any tips on how to avoid starting elf on the shelf, my kids are starting to hear about it at school so may have no option but to do it next year  :o
Tell them Santa sent a Robin to keep an eye on them instead. Put birdseed out and hope for the best!! 😀
The Robin was what we were told when we were small.

There are plenty of suggestions on Facebook. Where he throws toilet roll down the stairs for example, or ends up in the fridge or outside on the car. But it's 23 or 24 days in December so simple moving him around the house works.

I read somewhere 10 years ago that Chris Rea got 100k in royalties annually for his song.

If you keep your nose clean, then it's a constant source of income. Gary Glitter had a good Christmas song in the late 80's, but it's obviously not played nowadays.

They should have 10 points deducted every season if the last few weeks are anything to go by

Everton have a big shiny new stadium for next season. They won't want to be showing it off to Plymouth Argyle and Stoke City.

Where was the semi last year for Glen?

All semis were in Croke last year, both codes. Not this year though. Personally think they should be in CP as you are guaranteed a good surface

Why not this year?

O'Toole Park would be the favoured neutral venue for Crokes. The traffic getting across the city to Croke Park is always a pain.

Fintona a good venue also.

It's a late finish this year. Leagues should be up and running by end of March.
