If Sissoko is worth £30M then the world's gone mad. Anonymous for most of last season.

Yeah just played for a move during the Euros, teams must be mental

I completely agree.

But Mane at £30m, Stones at £50m, Sterling at £45m, Luis at £50m, pogba at £90m. Every part of all that is mental. So the market rate for a starting midfielder for a top international side is probably £30m. Then again, Fergie paid nearly that a decade ago for Veron, and it is genuinely debatable if he was actually any good at all. Nice to watch, but not great.

Football is though throwing more money around than ever before but is actually getting worse. Go figure.

gallsman

Whether Veron was a good footballer isn't debatable in the slightest.

Farrandeelin

Why was Wembley used this evening?
Inaugural Football Championship Prediction Winner.

T Fearon

Because work has started to rebuild the Lane into a 60,000 capacity stadium

ONeill

Because Spurs thought they'd draw big names in the CL, being in pot 3, but it didn't turn out that way. Hilariously Spurs.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

The Gs Man

Big names or not, 85,000 odds there last night chump.

Biggest ever home attendance for an English Club.

That's not home :) 92,500 were at Wembley for Liverpool v Bruges in 1978.

The Gs Man

Wembley wasn't Liverpool's home ground though was it?

And it would have been 50/50 split in terms of ticket allocations.  Unlike last night.

Jeez lads! Give us a wee bit of credit where it's jew!   ;)

I'm only slagging :) But it isn't Spurs home ground either. Apparently, though, they are using it in the premier league next season as the new Lane is being built?

When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

The Gs Man

That's right, all games next season will be there.

Walter Cronc

Are Spurs being found out this season.

Decent squad but too many players of a similar level. Cant see them making top 4.

imtommygunn

Too many english players. English players continue to fail on an international stage. All of the other top teams have very few.
