Not so sure about that. I think they'll be happy not playing St Colman's. I also think that with a lot of the team having been part of last years All Ireland winning team they should not let the occasion get to them. Someone suggested to me that the McCormack Cup defeat was the first time that group of lads had lost a final from they started at the school
St Paul's won the McCormick Cup beating Maghera with a last minute goal.

Think he is referring to Maghera here Carnview. It's true that this year group has never lost a final all the way through. I wouldn't call the Mac Cormick a proper competition though!
Well hopefully their involvement in last year's MacRory defeat to St Michaels will spur them on this year!

Only saw the 2nd half of this game. Comprehensive win by Kildare in the end. No team in Ireland could live with the loss of the 2 Bradleys and the defeat was always on the cards.
I'm afraid I have to say that the Derry support in CP today was abysmal. I saw only 4(four) Derry jerseys in the crowd/ on the way out. Team deserves better than that.
Derry have always been poorly suppported. The county is like no other in Ireland. It is the most parochial county out there, all they talk about is South Derry V North Derry V City. Shouldnt play at Celtic Park because it is in the City blah blah blah. Moaning and fighting with each other rather than getting behind county team. When it comes to hurling its even worse, just look at what Derrys senior hurling manager had to put up with. Tell me this where else in Ireland would you not get one rep from the county hurling champs on county team. For those that dont know I am talking about Lavey.
What about Paddy Henry??  Pearse McGill??  others were injured or touring Austraila or deemed not county standard.

Paul Hughes has now won a Macrory and a Mageean as manager of Maghera!
When was he a manager/coach of a winning MacRory team?  Yes, he was part of many management teams with McNicholl and McGuckin but he was never outright manager/coach.

Anyhow, well done to St Pats on winning the Mageean and McNamee last evening.

Who will be in Division 2 next year and who will be playing their trade in Division 3 next year?
The Drum hater returns.

Think this tells its own story.
It tells the real story that all those clubs have done nothing to promote all GAA sports!  Credit to those dual clubs for giving our youth the choice.

It,s time hurling clubs got their act together and vote a hurling representative onto the county board. Someone who won,t be tramped on. The county board behave the way they do because they are allowed to. I think the current county  board would listen and respond to the proper voice.
Seem to remember J B Bradley being a hurling rep on the county board???
