Have seen Rosenallis play a few times over the last year or so and they're a good side. They've 2 lads that were playing for their U21's that look very good, a chap Murray in the HF line and Joey something playing in the FF. Both right good players. Sidelines a bit mouthy though!

Poor first half I'll give you that but St Paul's were a different animal in the second half. They couldn't do anything right in the first half and kicked near a dozen wides but showed how good they were after half time & outscored Portlaoise 1-10 to 0-02. Portlaoise are a decent side but are dependent on 1/2 big players, St Pauls have strength in each line which won it for them in the end

Timahoe missing Quigley and someone else now due to suspension I hear? Dempey's were lucky enough by all accounts but that's a strong Portlaoise team with a lot of players who played the Division 1 games this season

Emo were very dependent on Strong, too dependent really. Thought The Heath were by far the better team but Emo got their goals at critical times which brought them back into it and they kicked on for a few minutes afterwards but The Heath deserved it. Losing Costello didn't help Emo's cause as their bench didn't look too strong

So Emo did go down & St Paul's won their second straight U16A Championship to go with their Minor & they'll probably win the U17's too - all this to go feed Intermediate teams shortly. Crazy

With the strength of the St Paul's & the weakness of Emo and Courtwood been shown this year you'd think the amalgamation issue would pop its head up again this winter. From the outside looking in it makes sense. Have them together from when they start playing U6's and then pull them apart after Minors. Strange when the underage sides are doing so well. More to it I know but should be considered, in my opinion anyway

Like the majority I think it'll be the Arles two, Portlaoise & Stradbally but maybe Ballylinan might be the surprise one
Emo v The Heath is a tough one to call, could be a serious battle
