Quote from: Orior on October 21, 2024, 09:05:14 AMThankfully the manager replaced Trent-Alexander. I'm pretty sure Chelsea would have scored one or two more if he had stayed on.

He was doing alright when marking Sancho who was subbed off then again that perhaps says more about Sancho who seems to suit the Bundesliga better than the Premier League.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Absolute belter from Nunez there. Liverpool had been looking poor as well.

Looked stonewall. Surprised they took so little time to review.

Liverpool making a habit of taking a lead but looking shaky for the rest of the match under Slot but he has been grinding out the results so far

Brendan

No new signings in the summer of note but the improvement of Gravenberch has been like one

"We're gonna win so much, you may even get tired of winning. And you'll say, 'Please, please. It's too much winning. We can't take it anymore. Mr. Slot, it's too much.'

Deserved lead for Arsenal at the half. That was the third free Liverpool had given Arsenal in that same spot - sooner or later they were going to find someone's head.

Liverpool not getting any decent possession at all. No one up front able to make it stick.

That'll do nicely!  8)

Arsenal shaded it overall, but much better second half performance from Liverpool. Lovely worked goal from Trent, Nunez and Salah.

Think Liverpool will be a bit short of City and Arsenal in the end, but well in the hunt for that third spot.

Arsenal didn't shade it at all, they were the better in the first half Liverpool were the better in the second. Arsenal just parked the bus in the second half.

Thought Arsenal were poor in the second half alright, let Liverpool back into the game. That's twice now they've been caught by trying to defend a lead for a full half.
Liverpool couldn't handle them when they attacked them in th first half, was odd to see them just sit back then for the second half.

Anyway good point for Liverpool.

Second half was like watching a big Sam team from Arsenal. What is it they say,  teams reflect the manager?

Robertson was badly shown up by Saka. Not the first time he's looked a bit iffy. Might be time for Liverpool to start looking at succession in that position too. Tsimikas is a good deputy, but don't think he's up to the level for first choice.

A good point away from home. We are rolling nicely through this intense fixture schedule.
