I don't get this not keeping scores for U12 or watever matches... ffs! We played in primary school and coped with losing ok... and the medal for everyone in other competitions. Winning and losing is part of life... tighten up ffs!..
Dog story went in while I was typing! 😳🐕

I was watching the Joe Biden documentary last night. He had a stammer when young and wasn't well off, but the motto in his house was get up and keep going. His wife and daughter were killed in an accident. He became President, and one that history may look better on than appears now. There needs to be a touch of "I get knocked down and I get up again".

Never trust a man that would kick a dog.
Even if the dog deserved it?

So when does a dog deserve a kicking?

If it's mauling a kid?

I actually gave a dog a kicking last week, attacked my dog and wasn't letting go. Don't really remember doing it, started on footpath and when it was over I was in the middle of the road with cars stopped.

Would I ever kick a dog for no reason though - no.

Jesus, was the other dog off the lead or one of the those daft retractable jobs? Frightening that

It's a fear when you're out and about with the dogs, though you'd know most of the dogs / walkers

Ethan Tremblay

Dogs off leads is a major gripe of mine.  My own dog got into it with a dog running loose in a public place last year.  I had him on a lead, and moved him into a corner to allow the other dog to leave, but it persisted.  My dog is a big breed and his nature is not to cower away and low and behold the other dog got hurt.

I then had to listen to your woman(in a state) walking the other dog lecture me about how my dog is out of control/dangerous etc.

My only response was what would you have me do, not walk the dog in case you decide you want to allow yours to roam free?
I tend to think of myself as a one man wolfpack...

imtommygunn

Yeah likewise. I've had a few incidents with off the lead dogs when out running this last year or two. I'm not even that bothered if they're off the lead but if your dog can't control itself around people it has to be on a lead. Many dogs can but there are those that can't.

One of my kids got knocked over by a big, dopey labrador on a beach near our house when we were out for a walk.

I was raging, not at the dog, but the fĂșckin owner who didn't once ask if the wee lad was OK, he was only three at the time and took a serious fear of dogs ever since.
I could have booted the owner, not the dog.

Wildweasel74

You didn't mention the type of dog you have Ethan, out of interest what is it?

imtommygunn

It's almost always the owner at fault.

I offered a sheepdog type on years ago and it cowed away Keyser. Still one of my proudest moments sadly 🤣🤣

My dogs are off the lease at the places where there are no cars really close by, they stay with me very closely to me and great recall, but they are cockapoos, not confrontational, though one of them thinks he's 10 foot tall and when a dog is in his face he'll react with a growl.

9/10 out of ten it will be the owners who are at blame, not knowing their dogs or understanding how their dogs react with other dogs is the main thing. My dogs used to bark at Alsatians purely out of fear, now they walk past with their heads down lol, they have adapted.

They have only ran off once when they reacted to a dog running at them, out of fear, they headed back to the carpark and sat at the car waiting on me..

Biggest bug bear are the cnuts that don't pick up their dogs shit, I'd love to rub their faces in it.

Cyclists on a shared path are the worst though, I've cycled the same path for 20 years and run it regularly enough, If I'm going down to it I know I'm meeting people in groups, dogs and toddlers, getting worked up because other people are sharing it is strange.

And then there are those who pick up their dog shit in a bag, and then tie the bag to a branch for everyone to see. Why?

Depending on where you were at the time - had harm come to the ladies dog or your dog, she would have been liable. So she can lecture you all she wants. Dog owners should understand the leash laws of the geography and the sub area of the geography.https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/articles/controlling-your-dog-public#:~:text=It%20isn't%20necessary%20for,such%20as%20in%20public%20parks.

Jesus. Probably better they didn't reveal too much on that. Out in september 2028. I doubt that kind of depravity would ever leave you if it was in you.

People start with animals and move on to humans, wouldn't be surprised he has or will continue on and try this with humans

Jeffrey Dahmer is one that did that. He himself ended up getting a violent death in Jail.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose
