Some oul ballix careering down a steep hill in a tin bath every week is not f**king comedy. Awful shite.

Jesus that scenario made me laugh. Must be age.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

The bath tub gag  has been used as a stick to   beat Summer Wine with. That's all that seems to be  mentioned when talking about the show, as  you've just proven   ;D

Summer wine is what I'd imagine the likes of Coronation street  should  be like.  Just silly storylines  instead  of alien abductions, plane crashes   and gangsters.

Last of the Summer Wine is in a class of gentle easy going comedy the Brits do well. I'd also put As Time Goes By in that category, with the late Geoffrey Palmer and Judi Dench just great character actors. There's often a melancholy undertone to these shows too. Type of comedy probably best watched with the last of a good glass of red wine.

I know a lot of people detest them but I enjoy Not Going Out and Outnumbered.

Gavin and Stacey seems  like marmite. No in-between . Either hated or loved.

I resisted watching it for years , but i enjoyed it.. not the main two characters, they were  a pain in the hole. It was the peripheral characters that made it , Bryn, Nessa,  Pam, Mick, and  Smithy (in small doses)

The last episode was  poor though. Another special due at Christmas

She had an uncle Hugh from Ballymacnab.

Sorry.

I think Father Ted is overrated, it is watchable but doesn't deserve the status it has.

South Park. Degenerate drivel.

Family Guy. It is ok in small doses.

I've never watched a lot of famous shows like 'The Office' and 'Big bang theory'.

I've recently watched a lot of old 70's shows like 'Man about the house', 'George & Mildred', 'Robins Nest' and 'Steptoe & Son'. I would recommend George & Mildred.

I've also been watching the Frasier reboot, it is ok but I'm not sure why they even need to bother. Isn't 264 episodes of a show enough?
It recently took me 10 weeks to get through the whole series and by the time you do get through them you could just start over as you've forgotten what has happened. The problem with that reboot is that Niles isn't in it, they seemed to try and replace him with Nicholas Lyndhurst from Only Fools.

The Big Bang Theory was OK, especially if you appreciated nerd humour (which I do), but like many series it lost its way near the end. Young Sheldon was actually quite good, funny but also warm, and ended on a high.

The young ones and Bottom were class. As was Spitting Image.

Young ones was great but  it is  of it's time, and a lot of the gags very dated now

Bottom was absolutely brilliant.  I have watched it dozens of times and still  end up roaring with laughter. You can't beat  a bit of Tom  and Jerry style physical violence. Pure genius.
