Knock Yer Mucker In

To be fair Arsenal have the highest gl return from corners in Europe. If utd had of been outplayed and exposed its the same under a different manager, but it wasn't

Despite the defeat definitely more encouraging signs.

Listening to the pundits this morning you would think they were played off the park but this was simply not the case, United had really good shape in the first half and were very comfortable. Didn't manage to get much threat on the Arsenal goal, but weren't conceding any chances either.

Ugarte and Malacia I thought looked a lot better than previous stints and in general there was more zip to the team.

Rashford again, don't even know where to start.

United fans at risk of overhyping the first half performance. Arsenal's xG was four times that of United, and then second half was a completely different story.

No gaping chasms down the middle any more though, which is instantly noticeable.

Amorim has said it'll take years and it'll be down to how much big sir Jim is willing to invest as the squad still needs overhauled. Hojlund is yet to convince and Zirkzee is a donkey. Antony was utterly appalling when he came on. Yoro looked solid on his debut and if Amad keeps developing, he could be the future of the attack for years to come.

From what can see the gaping gaps between players seems to have been addressed as ETH united were so easy to play through.

Few areas they will need to address some natural width on left side, someone to complement Ugarte in the middle to allow Bruno to play closer to goal and a striker to lead the line get them 20 goals a season.  Can't see them making top 4 this year but two good windows between now and start of next season would expect them to challenge.

Neutral.

De Ligt is a complete carthorse if they are going to play three at the back may as well play Maguire there who has been excellent for England in a three in the past and his lack of pace isn't as easily exposed.Have to question why Amorim took off Bruno in a double change when chasing the game for Mount/Zirkzee.

gallsman

If only lack of Pace was Maguire's biggest issue to be exposed.

Blowitupref

Nottm Forest had a expected goal stats of 0.78. Two of the three goals conceded was on the goalkeeper and before today he was one of the few United players that was playing well this season.

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

The Wood goal all three of the centre halves can take some blame in goal.Yoro losses Wood then other two are looking at eachother once he gets the header instead of trying to clear it.

de Ligt is evidently the Dutch Maguire, that's a mistake that'll take 3-4 years to get off the books

Timmy chocolate wrists another disaster, Rory Beggan improves Utd overnight

De Ligt by himself encapsulates United's transfer policy post Fergie.

A player of early promise who is found out at the highest level - and injury prone to boot. Smarter clubs have worked this out, and his career should naturally dwindle out. But United not only sign him but put him on a big money, lengthy contract. Thereby continuing their legacy as a club of overpaid underachievers.

New manager usually gets a bounce!  Write this season off and let Amorim have time to work with them in pre-season. Will need to bring in 2 or more quality signings in each transfer window over the next few years.  It's going to take him time.
That's just, like your opinion man.

Big clubs don't get to write off seasons. You write off a season - you start to look worse. Cups and European places are needed to still be attained. You want to attract players of a certain quality and ambition. Winning is a habit and the sooner you get that mentality, the sooner you move forward. There is no next year.

In fairness Onana had been good this season.
