McTominay was never the answer at United. Never. He did OK scored a few goals but he had enough opportunity to show it and didn't.
End of a nonsense conversation.

Solid squad player who gave his all. He's excelling in Italy as the pace is slower and his all action style stands out. Honest to goodness player though and would have helped United more than hindered them.

High workrate, leadership, eye for goal - yep, all the attributes you want to sell on to another club, seems to be the answer for Napoli, Utd haven't a clue what the question is nevermind figuring an answer, in the absence of both revert to first principles, keep your best players

He could hardly hold onto a ball in midfield and couldn't pass to the required level. Fan favourite among some as he showed a bit of pashun and popped up with a few goals, but he was a net negative to the team. No top side in the EPL would have him.

More than most of the team is doing these days tbh.

Very true.

Chris Wood of Forest has scored nearly as many goals himself as Man Utd has this season.

Yeah, read that again.

How many  current United players would  Liverpool Arsenal City etc have? Garnacho maybe?  But  even he is too hit and miss

It's a sad state  of affairs.  United always had  players capable of standing up , and dragging them through a bad run  of results.  Not this lot though.

Look-Up!

Quote from: marty34 on October 29, 2024, 08:38:43 AMJust read an article on BBC website re: Scott Mc Tominay and Napoli.

Paulio Di Canio says all the Man Utd directors should be arrested for letting Mc Tominay go to Napoli.
I would love to see Di Canio get the Utd job. Forget Keano, that is one seriously mad bast**d!!!  ;D  ;D

Quote from: Blowitupref on October 28, 2024, 08:41:25 PMFrom the Manchester Evening News.  Ruben Amorim has agreed in principle to take over as Man United manager. Now down to United and Sporting to agree compensation package.
Few questions if Amorim is the man to take over. Why was he not approached in the summer or identified at that stage?
Strange one that...not as if he just got good in the last 3 months

Few questions if Amorim is the man to take over. Why was he not approached in the summer or identified at that stage? ETH had success in a mediocre league and couldn't deal with the challenges of managing at a higher level United have went for a similar replacement.

Amiron prefers a 3-4-3 formation not sure how this fits with the players that United currently have?  In the ETH era they were continually over run in midfield, do United have the personnel/legs to get away with two playing in midfield?  Where does Fernandes fit into this formation? Who gives the natural balance on the left? Does Harry Maguire become a live option to play in a back three where more comfortable?

If they are to appoint him so soon after sacking Ten Hag it probably says he was already approached in the summer or identified.  A lot of those questions will need to be answered, new sighing Leny Yoro will likely fit in somewhere if they go with 3-4-3 formation once he returns from injury.  Didn't he manage Fernandes at Sporting?
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Didn't he fly to London for talks about the West Ham job in the summer then change his mind ?
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come
