Gabriel for Arsenal did the same  in own penalty area last season in the Champions League and the referee chose to ignore it, was later marked down as a "kid's mistake"

In Gabriel's defence it was in 6 yard box. Mings was not.

He'll not do that again. Stupid

It was pretty much the same thing, one given as penalty the other not.

The keeper played it out to him, had the ref blown whistle for restart?

If he did, that's on him. The ref the last time was technically wrong but used common sense.

Didn't realise it was outside box. Mings was further out. Was bound to happen at some stage cause of all the nonsense now with a defender going short to keeper so he can hoof it up field.

nrico2006

What is the action to be taken if it was too short, i.e. if Mings had been in the 6 yard box?

Isnt it great to have Mings back!  ;)

It's a penalty and he's a balloon. The Arsenal one just highlights the usual inconsistencies.

Villa are definitely in a slump. They arent clicking anymore. Perhaps it's too many changes game to game, in an attempt to retain freshness. Brugge were good value for that win, mistake or not.

We easy one v Liverpool up next  ;D

If Lyon fail to pay off their debts at the end of the season, they will be relegated to Ligue 2 as well as a transfer ban due to their financial situation.

Paul Pogba becomes free agent, he's left Juventus terminating the contract on mutual agreement. He will be able to join new club with immediate effect, training from January 2025 and playing from March 2025.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

The slide for Manchester City continues, letting a 3 goal lead slip and only drawing at home with Feyenoord.  No excuse for Liverpool not to beat Manchester City on Sunday and to win comfortably.

Elsewhere Arsenal took full advantage of a Sporting team that lost their manager.

This Champions League format is a slow aul burn.

It's terrible. Liverpool Madrid up now. Interest is minimal for me.

They've destroyed it.

It might get more interesting the last couple of rounds but the reality is its likely to be the middle tier teams fighting it out for a couple of spots with maybe one or two "big" teams needing a win. Same as every other year, a money making racket before Christmas and the real competetion only starts in Feb/March
