Quote from: lurganblue on October 30, 2024, 04:09:53 PMThe new series of the Lincoln Lawyer is more of the same, but I think this one might be the best so far. I've almost even gotten used to the Cisco character.

Yeah it won't be winning any awards but it's very easy watching along with the Mrs in the evenings when it's hard to find something the 2 of you would watch together!
Might give it a spin. Got bored halfway through s2. Yer man seems a bit boring to be Mickey Haller. The next Bosch Legacy is the last one.

I have never read the Michael Connolly books and thus I only recently found out that there is a connection here. Is Bosch worth a watch?

Watched first season of brassic on Netflix, very funny

bennydorano

Don't binge it, the episodes are pretty much all the same for the next 5 series. Best watched with a break in between in my experience

Yes. It took me 2 goes to get into Bosch but binged it during lockdown when I had Covid and the wife had me confined to a backroom. It's not The Wire but having read all the books I liked it much more than I thought I would

I've only gotten round to the 2nd series in Rings of Power.  I wasnt impressed with the 1st series but IMO this one is a big improvement.  I see it's taking a bit of stick, so I hope it isnt cancelled. I wouldnt have much knowledge on Tolkien etc and if there are inaccuracies they wouldn't bother me as much as they might some.

Yeah I enjoyed it.
Not the best thing I ever watched but a solid 7/10.

I've been watching "Paris has fallen" on Prime, not bad. Still a couple of episodes to go.

Started Day of the Jackal. It's had a good start. Bit too slick and picturesque though for its own good but has promise.

Yellowstone back tonight.

Hopefully see a few more c***ts taken to the train station. :D

Oh! Happy days. Will certainly give that a rattle.  Didnt I see that Costner isnt returning? It will be interesting to see how they close that off.

I finished Joan on ITV X. The one with Sophie Turner.  Overall it wasn't really one for me.

Started The Rivals and so far (half way through), I'm enjoying it. Lots of stories going on and they've all a serious dose of the horn  ;D

Presume Jamie/his friends will have to kill Costners character and then the series will be dealing with the fallout?

Yesterday was the US release date, think it is out in the UK tonight

An Watcher

Watched the last episode of Penguin last night.  While I enjoyed the series, I was a little disappointed in the final episode

I thought it was excellent, in an unpleasant kind of way. Things took a serious turn for what had been a reasonably sympathetic character up to that point.

Some performance by Farrell. Cristin Miliotti really good too.

The Diplomat s2 on Netflix. I'd forgotten about this show. Took me a wee while to remember what had happened in s1, but s2 is also very good. Worth a watch.

Cheers. We started watching s2 and forgot about it. I have finally relented and watching Wolf Hall s1.

For you romantics out there, "Nobody Wants This" on Netflix is a decent watch.
