easyjet have brought the flight forward so I need to be at the airport an hour earlier. I tried to amend the booking online but the bastards say you have to rebook and the original is cancelled -the original booking was 77 quid and it would be 118 quid for the new booking. I'm not paying 40 quid to arrive an hour earlier  >:(
Can you just book on for the extra hour and then on way out you will be able to show them you paid for the full time? In Dublin you can arrive four hrs before but not sure if Belfast does the same.
We had to arrive in Dublin Airport parking a day early due to strike and it was going to cost €100 so we booked one single day for €13.50. Still untested as we're still away, but email from parking people suggested they just couldn't change their system and that as long as we were covered in some way, we'd be ok, just explain on way out.

Not to be all Eddie Hobbs but christ almighty. Going home for three weeks at the end of July and flying out of Girona as better, cheaper flights to Belfast then Barcelona and it's only an hour away. General Parking is approximately 20 seconds from the terminal and is stinging me €37 for the whole trip.

That's expensive but hard to do anything else. Taxi drop off and lift would be similar I'm sure, depening on where you live.

Pity you didn't leave it at a friend's house in Dublin or surrounding areas and get bus in.

Only back from hols and flew out of Belfast international . I have the long stay car park booked and got into the car park about 35/40 minutes before my time on ticket. There was no issues getting into it or out of it last night . I think you might be ok

Bus Belfast to Dublin airport is about £15 quid? takes 1.45mins? no issues, drops you at the door.

We did it once, haven't flown from Dublin that much though, with the kids, the times worked well though so thats a factor for some I suppose

With a 2 and 3 year old and a double buggy, and getting from Lurgan to Belfast to get a bus (which we used all the time pre-kids), our preference was just to factor car park into the holiday price.  Maybe it'll be easier when they're older.

Rois your idea for the extra hour sounded great but the feckers obviously have a minimum booking time so the extra hour in Main Stay was going to be 35 quid. I've decided to take my chances and rock up to the car park an hour early!

I usually avoid Irish bars abroad but any recommendations for a decent pub in the Albufeira/Vilamoura area for the football next week?

There are about 10 Irish bars in Vilamoura! Murphys & O'Neills down by marina are big bars - multi screens!
O' Sheas - good spot for beers & craic !

I've been 5 or 6 times. It's a great place. No real do' or dont's everything is top notch. Jead into Cambrills port for an evening. You can hire bikes outside thr resort, much cheaper and you can cycle along the beech to cambrills and salou. If kids are old enough port aventura is close by. Good day trip. Think if you download the Spanish  lidl app you get a good discount.
Loads to see and do but the report itself is great. Bakery shop restaurants on site. But a good little Italian and Indian down the hill from the resort as you head to the beach.

Just noticed this again. Went to O'Sheas. Standing room only by time we got there but a good spot.

Just back.  Its a good spot.  Heard ones complaining about the food on site but it's 100%.  €3.70 a pint at the pool bar.  Just hope it cools down a bit as fit for nothing other than lying by the pool.  Get the Plana bus card that let's you get the bus at the bottom of the hill to Cambrils, Salou or Tarragona.  Tarragona was excellent with the Roman Amphitheatre.  Liked Cambrils as well.  Wouldn't he dying  about salou but each to their own.  Beaches were nice but was a little too warm for us
