Thanks all for the suggestions. The building I'd prob end up having to do . But yep def want something that can be upgraded and added too so I don't have to spend another fortune in 2 years time.

In this respect a desktop machine is more flexible than laptops which are something of a package (although I did add more RAM to one) and things like monitors can do for years.

What is a good spec for rtx? Alot of them have 4060 my young lad seems to think 4070 is as low as you should go?
Is there a noticeable difference?

Get him what his mates have. You can have cross platform games but not sure how widespread they are.
