Was he even a Liverpool top player?
Yes he was.  Played in two champions league finals winning one and a FA cup.

Class on the ball and dictated the game for Liverpool passing range off both feet top class, his influence meant Gerrard was pushed initially to the right of midfield and then into a more advance role.

Moved onto Madrid after and Bayern and was a key player in the era of Spain's greatest midfield and won 114 caps.

Gerrard adored him as a midfield partner. Said he missed him every day at Anfield when he went to Madrid. His importance was only emphasised when they tried to replace him .... With Aquaman .... Aquilani. Alonso was like a scrum half. Always behind the ball ready to receive and change the angle of play. He played a bit of GAA too if I remember correctly.... Stayed a summer with a family Meath I think

Liverpool must win tonight, what an opportunity for them.

What did the invisible man in the sky do? @jcpen will be getting giddy as he'll know Liverpool will have the opportunity on December 1st in Anfield to now end Manchester City's title hopes.

RedHand88

Up next for City is Tottenham and then Liverpool at Anfield.

Kelleher is some keeper, plenty on here with egg on their face from their opinions about him.
Great from an Irish perspective and for you Liverpool fans.

Can see the sweat forming on C'tain Obvious' forehead as he pulls together another "theirs to lose" post.

Not going so bad. Navigating this tricky sequence very nicely so far! Really enjoying these counter attack goals, as well as the controlled football. 8)

You need to upgrade your ambitions and ask yourself other than themselves who can stop Liverpool from winning quadruple this season?

trueblue1234

Can't see it tbh. Not with you putting them under pressure from Oct. Be a long season.

City still have to play Liverpool twice, that overturns the 5 point gap. Its in City's hands.
