Anyone forced to do things like your Easter duty which I think entailed going to confession, visiting the graveyard and stations of the cross?
Was dragged to confession and stations up until a certain age , then said feck that.
Don't believe I've been to confessions in probably 30 years. I don't think too many go nowadays do they? Even the older folk
Graveyards, I would visit every few weeks, and on birthdays, anniversaries and Christmas. I'm not religious now , but I like to visit graves as I think it's important to remember those who went before , and all they did for us.
I go to the graveyards at night. Maybe 11/12 at night. Find it the most peaceful place you'll get. Extra nice on a nice frosty night. Something about the lights on the graves, the fact that usually there's no one else around, peace and no distractions. I'd recommend it.
