Meanwhile we seem to have a new Skull on the Board...
Empty skull.

The bard of Long Island could pen a tune.

Anyone remember the Memories version of We didn't start the fire when we first qualified for 1990 World Cup - Jackie Charlton, Eoin Hand, Johnny Giles, Ireland!

Jesus that's a blast from the past! Tony Galvin, Niall Quinn, Packie doesn't let them in...

Quote from: Rossfan on December 08, 2024, 07:00:41 PMSo we have an Islamist outfit (magically appearing 2 weeks ago) virtually unopposed in taking power? No or little  Government army?
Something smells!

In the meantime I'd advise those Syrian girls in Ballaghadereen to hold off on going home just yet.
It's definitely not a goodies and baddies story. Time will tell who the better option was.

Quote from: gallsman on December 08, 2024, 06:00:00 PMI thought Oguz was anonymous in the second half other than the monster fetch towards the end. On the other side, I thought Harte was very quiet in the first half.

Have to agree with this. Didn't notice Harte first half at all.
Nearly felt for E Brannigan at the end

Quote from: Tubberman on December 08, 2024, 05:06:18 PMThought ref was harsh on Kilcoo.
Didn't see replay of red card, but thought it was a yellow in real time.
And the equalising free for Errigal was very soft - he had ballooned it wide before there was any contact
Plenty of replays on Twitter. An on brand deliberate cheap shot and got the colour of card it deserved.

XBox or Playstation for the young lad for Christmas?

What's the major differences?

What sort of money for a good set up? Controllers and head set required also.
Get him what his mates have. You can have cross platform games but not sure how widespread they are.

Quote from: armaghniac on December 05, 2024, 10:34:25 PMPost GFA there can be UI, but the spirit of that agreement is that this will come when when people in NI want it. People in the 6 counties have to put their hand up and say that they want in. But we don't get that, what we get is so called nationalists and republicans saying that they have nothing in common with the rest of country and that the 26county voters are stupid uncaring people. It seems widely believed in the 6 counties that Dublin should spend more money there, but propose any revenue raising measure and there isn't much interest in self help. SF are more interested that they be in power than any UI where they are not in power. Now the main issue with a UI is economics, but SF have no interest in economics or at least the earning side of it, they have some interest in the spending side. Without some mature leadership in the 6 counties things will indeed remain as they are.
Good post.

Quote from: maggie on December 03, 2024, 02:53:49 PMAs ever on the last legs trying to get something sorted for a present. Anyone know where I could get 6 nation ticket and an overnight stay package or even just a ticketfor a match? Tried Skelton Travel Lurgan but they only do football ones.

Thanks.

Your best bet is the Italy game in March. Make a nice weekend in Rome out of it - you will be able to pick up tickets for it no bother. I would recommend booking own travel and accommodation - don't use a packaged deal.

You will struggle to get tickets for any of the other games - and will end up paying a complete fortune for them. You could get flights, accomadation and tickets to the Italy game fpr the same price as just tickets for the others.

Who are you booking flights to Rome with for the rugby that isn't exorbitant or takes you on a 24 hr magical mystery tour?
Chatting to a fella last week who was looking at home tickets for the France match but they were E800 on a resale site. Scrapped that and found tickets for Italy v Rome for under E50. Flights however were over E500 so he was away to look at flights to Pisa and train to Rome. No cheap options.

Indeed. I have read people say it legitimises future Trump pardons, however the same fella doesn't need a reason or an excuse. The 6th Jan "patriots" will be out.
