New UK target for 81% emissions cut by 2035

The switch towards greener energy has already halved the UK's annual greenhouse gas emissions since 1990 - but the CCC has previously said further reductions will be difficult without lifestyle changes.

The government advisers said taxes on meat and dairy might be needed if people do not voluntarily reduce their consumption of the products, and there should be moves to phase out the use of petrol cars.

Speaking at the summit, Sir Keir said the new UK target would be "difficult" but "achievable", and he wanted government to "tread lightly on people's lives".

"It's not about telling people how to live their lives – I'm not interested in that," he added.

The DUP has pointed to the names of IRA men that appear on gates near the site.
Charlie McAllister and Pat McVeigh were killed in 1922 and their names are on gates that lead into the Glenariff GAA grounds, where the community centre is planned.
Fourteen members of the DUP have "called-in" the decision.

Ulster GAA President Aogan Farrell has called on clubs around the country to appoint managers from within their own ranks.

Farrell told clubs at the recent Ulster Coaching Conference in Armagh that clubs should be able to go it alone in all areas:

"The manager is one aspect of that," said the Drumgoon Eire Og clubman. "Clubs don't need to go to the next parish or county to find a club chairman.

"They should be well able from within their own club area to find a good leader from their own community because GAA is about passion for your own place.

"In the same way they don't need to be going to anyone always expecting there is a grant for this or that.

"They should be able to grow their own players within their catchment, within their own community - people who have a love of their own club and place, and they should be the people that power their teams."

Surprised this topic hasn't been raised before now. The country is rife with journey men getting 50-100+ a night taking teams they have zero allegiance with. Many have zero credentials but that is beside the point. I'm 100% in agreement with the argument being made here.

What are your own thoughts? Have some clubs became almost addicted to the outside man solution? It does appear to be rife in alot of areas

I assume that this still can be done? If so can you recommend the best way to do this

who funds the squads (divisional or all county),
the age groups,
the number of squads per age group,
the make up of the development squad coaches (club coaches or paid county coaching staff),
how well they are looked after (travelling, food, kit etc),
the meaningful competition they get?
