Terrible news, hard to digest.

Do Protestants know the joke about Moses coming down the mountain in his Triumph, or is that a bit risqué?

I'm living in the Newtownabbey borough and it's completely dominated by DUP/UUP, giving councilors the right to vote on such things is wrong, but with it being shown in a council run building then it gives them the greenorange  light to vote against it. I'd say none of them actually know what the play is about or seen it.

I blame the residents who don't vote.

Catholic: 22.6%
Protestant: 67.8%

That's the breakdown, so I'm not great with maths but......

What is required is some Protestants to vote for non Eejits, you might know some.

You'd imagine, in this day and age, that someone would have put a tracking device of some sort on this ship!!

By law they are required to carry an ELT but.................

http://www.kiwiflyer.co.nz/KiwiFlyer-Issue-11-Guest-Comment-ELT.pdf

Given the often violent nature of aircraft accidents it's not surprising that in New Zealand the records show that ELTs fail in 86 per cent of incidents involving injury or death. In the 82 such accidents between 1999 and 2008, 73 aircraft were carrying ELTs – but only 10 sent a signal. This is not just a local issue; US accident data puts the failure rate at about 75 per cent.

I'm not sure that is relevant.  A small plane crashing might be wrecked. This is a large ship, still afloat, and the size and weight of a tracking device is not an issue, a giant indestructible yoke with big batteries could easily be used.

QuoteRead a bit in the Sunday Worst yesterday, hard to believe any pish printed in it, but is there truth in Armagh taking Hughie to court?

Someone needs to pour oil on troubled waters.

October might be a good time to go, the California parks and other inland locations are a tad hot in summer. The coast is fine all year round.

Sinn fein guy in fermanagh never shuts up about roaming

Perhaps he does. But what concrete effort was made in the context of new licences being issued, 14 years after the Good Friday agreement, to do something about it? I'm not saying something wasn't done, but I see no evidence of it.

I'm not just criticising Sinn Féin on this, the rest are equally guilty. But SF should have established the proposition long ago that no new spectrum/licence on the island of Ireland would be offered without some action on this issue. It should not be a question of reducing roaming charges, but of establishing a single network so that roaming doesn't enter into it. SF commented on the 4G licences but made no attempt to link it to this issue. If even one All Ireland type licence was issued, it would pressurise the others to come up with a deal or lose a lot of customers in border areas.

QuoteCould this be the end of roaming charges north/south this would equal a great relief for folk around border areas.

I doubt it, or at least the 26 county operators are adding in roaming charges in recent times. Our only hope seem to be the EU abolishing all roaming from Finland to Cyprus, there seem to be no progress locally.

There were new licences issued for the 4G, this was the opportunity for a new start on this issue, but nothing was done and not one "nationalist" politician made a speech or made any effort to see that it would be done.

Brewster park is unplayable.
Thats a joke.  The best field in Ulster is the Athletic grounds.  Should have been there in the first place.

And what the f**k would take a Cavan v Tyrone game to the Athletic grounds. I'd toss for home venue before I'd go there. The next obvious venue after Brewster would be Clones.

Does Clones have floodlights?
In any case if I were Cavan I'd welcome a game at the Athletic Grounds, they have another game there later in the year.

QuoteYou just dont get the concept that laws are there for EVERYONE!

Laws are for everyone, even scumbags. The problem is that you cannot just throw everyone in jail unless they actually broke a law.

QuoteWhy would they be surprised as his tongue has been coming out of similar over the decades but was mostly directed at papists and not his own creed?? Maybe that was the difference!

Terence O'Neill, Brian Faulkner or even David Trimble would not have been surprised that Paisley would lash out if you opposed him. Paisley found a party and a church as vehicles for his projects and he was always going to be forthright in criticising those who took these away from him.
