Not sure what is going on but the BBC commentators at the Olympics are stressing the "Great Britain and Northern Ireland " bit a lot more the last few days than they did at the start..
Wonder if wee Sammy has complained?

It depends, I've heard it and not heard it, very inconsistent
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

I never thought I would see Ireland win a medal in gymnastics yet alone a gold. Rhys was amazing today.

Kellie should get the gold in boxing 60 kg. That was her toughest fight. she just needs to beat yer man from Algeria if she gets through her semi. She beat her at the last olympics.

Dressage is the biggest load of balls as a sport.

I mean, they're in different divisions, so why Harrington would be fighting her is beyond me, but whatever you want to keep on spouting.

don't think Sha'carri shit the bed as such, she was beat on the day by the better athlete. From the semi finals it looked like Alfred was the favourite, Sha'carri again got away slow in the final and couldn't make up the ground.

Beat by better athlete doesn't necessarily equate to shitting the bed.

She ran two tenths slower than she did a month ago to win the US trials. Hasn't showed up at all.

You got me there The Algerian has moved up to welter weight since the last olympics. Harrington would still beat her.

I expect female athletes have the added complication of managing their cycle/associated hormones? Could account for a lot

Yep. Was cheering on some big Brazilian doll against am Israeli in the final of the heavyweight judo the other night! Total double standards from the IOC re. Russia and Israel.

Always felt the Russian ban was very Serb Coe inspired. If Russia are banned the likes of Ethiopia should be up for discussion with their lax drug testing and Kenya are starting to stray into territory where serious questions need asked with the amount of bans they are getting.

What an athlete femke Bol is.

Agree with the above. Also, any horse related 'sport' should be out, as well as shooting,canoeing/kayaking, surfing, bmx, skateboarding, artistic or synchronised swimming, breakdancing, fencing, handball, archery, volleyball, modern pentathlon and trampolining.

The BMX racing is incredible to watch.
