Couldn't find a thread for this - apologies if there is one already.

Would have thought Offaly should win by a few points but the bookies have them pretty even.....

Would have thought that Wexford would be favourites with their performances over the last 2 years.  Didn't they run Dublin close last year?

Very hard game to call, both had similar league campaigns the fixture between the sides ended in a 1point win for Wexford & i'm hearing Offaly have done well in challenge games.

Draw in 70mins is a good bet.
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Offaly have more forward power, Offaly by 3pts
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Strong Wexford team after being announced, though positions will be different on the day. Good to see Jason Ryan has stopped messing around with the team like he did during the league. If this was at home I'd be very confident of winning, however, Offaly are normally very tough to beat in Tullamore.

Wexford team

1. Anthony Masterson,
2. Joey Wadding, 3. Graeme Molloy, 4. Brian Malone,
5. Adrian Flynn, 6. David Murphy, 7. Aindreas Doyle,
8. Rory Quinlivan, 9. Daithí Waters,
10. Shane Roche, 11. Ciarán Lyng, 12. Ben Brosnan,
13. Colm Morris, 14. Eric Bradley, 15. Redmond Barry.

OFFALY (SF v Wexford)

Alan Mulhall;
Brian Darby, Scott Brady, Sean Pender;
Stephen Lonergan, Ross Brady, Karl Slattery;
Richard Dalton, Niall Smith;
Ciaran McManus, Sean Ryan, Anton Sullivan;
Bernard Allen, Nigel Dunne, Niall McNamee.

Strong interest in this seeing as we'll be playing the winners. Having played both teams in the league, there's not much if anything between the two teams so the draw is probably a good bet here. I doubt that Wexford team will line out like that. McNamee will cause havoc at the back if he's kept in FF and Smith will give them a good base at MF. However they're ropey at the back and I think Wexford will sneak it. I hope the Biffos will pull it off though because if they do we'll have them at home in Mullingar in the QF. Otherwise it's into the lions den down in Wexford.

Offaly had a decent league, in that they almost got promoted.
That said they won games, but didn't really play impressively in many of them.

Offaly are not too badly off for forward options as the bench isn't too bad. Brian Connor heading to America is a loss, but otherwise the panel is nearly full strength.
I'd be a bit worried about the defence and there aren't many defensive replacements in the subs. A few wing forwards have been tried as wing backs in recent challenge games.

Home advantage will be a help and I can't see there being much in it.

1-10 to 0-7 now, ten minutes or so into the second half.
Well I could keep it above

I didn't see this coming fair play to Wexford some performance. Barry scored both goals
