Great player who has the personality to match, won't be short on things to do, plenty of tv work for him I'd imagine

And the SHOES.

Footage of the historical first 45 metre shootout used to decide an intercounty game. Meath beat Longford 2-1.

I think Fermanagh or Westmeath will get one of the promotion places, Derry could struggle without their Slaughneil players available and Armagh have had a large number of withdrawals from their squad but they should be still knocking on the door, i'll be shocked if it's not a last minute, last game outcome for promotion. Def will be a tight division alright.

Fermanagh
Armagh
Derry
Westmeath
Longford
Sligo
Wexford
Offaly

Please don't get offended if i have your team in or around the bottom as i genuinely haven't a clue on anything about Wexford, Sligo, Offaly and Longford. Wexford could well get promoted...lol. It's such a tight division if i do this again tomorrow i'd have teams in a different place. Sligo and Longford are usually strong at home, dunno how Wexford are doing and there is nothing between the other teams...Looking forward to it all the same

I think that you're seriously underrating us. (OY)

Personally I find sky analysis superior to the 3 begrudgers on RTE. Actually breaks down tactics instead of the usual "ach but sure they have been very defensive and awful to watch" (whilst racking up 16 scores in the first half).

It really would not be difficult to better RTE. The whole Sunday Game needs a complete make over from the studio to the presenters. It is awful. (A bit like their soccer coverage).

Sky are doing an excellent job.

Sky gloss over issues where RTE saturate coverage on them. Sky is just as bad in the other direction. I don't need cheerleaders any more than I need cynical feckers.

I get that. I do. Some of skys over excitement of dour qualifiers in July is cringe at times. However, id still rather have canavan, horan and Senan Connell than listen to old men wax lyrical about "the good old days".

The three men you named are not exactly spring chickens themselves, though. and bar Canavan none of them reached the heights the RTE crew did in the game either.

To be fair, Horan is more there from his stint in management. That Senan Connell is some ginnit. Spouts more sh*te than a quality slurry tank.

Lads - are we sure Firmino wasn't trying to say something that's actually a compliment in Brazil? I'm sure the t-shirts are being printed as I type.  ;D

good to see you have wakened. it's already been confirmed what firmino has said in Brazilian.

You learn something new every day. I must brush up on this language....Brazilian. Must be a new one.

That was the issue when Suarez got banned....they didn't have a proper Uruguayanese translator so for all we know he didn't call Evra anything derogatory!!!
Uraguayanese: are you taking the piss?
;D
Typical BIFFO.

Beautiful Intelligent Fellow From Offaly, I'll take that all day long.
I was showing genuine concern for the gosson.

Says the 'person' from Leix. :D Or is it Queen's County. You must be from Maryborough! ;)

You'd happily listen to Micko telling stories for the rest of your life.

An audiobook of his life and times would be unreal.
Read by him.

Good win over Kildare.

See Ye Meath boys in Navan next Sun

I see Longford have stolen Mark Nally from Ros Gaels.

If it's good enough for Mayo..

Kildare's whole season as just been written off. Don't think any county has more bi-polar supporters than Kildare.

We do.

But have ye ever sat down in Croke Park!!  ;D ;D ;D

I thought it was purely one club per person with a caveat in terms of codes.
EG if the lad is playing hurling for a hurling only club, but football with a football-only club that is OK as far as I know.
Even training and blitzes would mean that the kid isn't fully covered in terms of insurance at both clubs.

This is correct. In Ferbane the lads who play football play for Ferbane, while lads who hurl do so for Belmont.

But I dont think they can hurl for any club other than their nearest one?
John Ryan played football with Shannon bridge and hurled with banagher even though Belmont was closer.

He originally hurled with Belmont, but moved(transferred is the wrong word, as neither were his club) to St Rynaghs as Belmont were up to nothing at the time. He was also living in Banagher if I'm not mistaken. That was one of the grounds on which the move was granted.

World's greatest division.
Nah, I think that's Arles in Leix
Leix/Laois is hardly in this world :o

Some would argue the same for Roscommon.
I hear that there's no such thing as H2O there. ;D ;D
