Statement From Kilkenny County Board
Posted about 9 hours ago
Kilkenny Senior Hurling Manager Brian Cody underwent pre-planned cardiac surgery today and is currently recovering in hospital. He is in good form but has to take a break from team affairs for a number of weeks. In his absence Martin Fogarty and Michael Dempsey will be taking charge of the Senior Hurling Panel. The Co. Board asks that Brian and his family be afforded privacy for the duration of his recovery and will not be issuing any further statements

Sincerely
Mr. Ned Quinn

Gobshite.

Hopefully Brian Cody will be back on the sidelines soon. He'll have plenty of determination anyway!
Also heard about Anthony Tohill's accident on the news this morning - hope he makes a full recovery too, sounds nasty.

Best of luck to him, hopefully he'll be back on the sidelines scowling linesmen, referee's and the odd reporter before long.

Jesus. Hope he is alright. The odd time I don't bother with the visor. Will have it on from now on!

All the best to both of them. Hopefully Cody's heart surgery wasn't too serious and he will be back on the sidelines before too long.

Former Derry GAA footballer, Anthony Tohill, has suffered serious facial injuries in an accident at his home.

It is believed the 41-year-old was working with a chainsaw in his garden when the incident happened earlier this week.

He was hospitalised with his injuries but has since returned home.

Brolly tweeted earlier that the eye was ok. Must have been one scary event.
