If anyones up in Dublin, il give you a tour of Innisfails grounds.

PM me.
Ah, Jaysus, will ya get away up the yard, will ya? ;D
I thought most normal Dub supporters would be still buzzin' after the five in a row and saving their energies for number six, instead of trolling half truths on mickey mouse boards like this one.
I s'pose it  takes all types. You should be gearing upp for Sanat now and stuff the oul' crap about the Dubs training on shitty grounds, worse than you'd find in most other counties.
Some months ago, in case you forgot, there was an unholy row when the county board threw a hissy fit when they removed some specialist training equipment from the sports centre in Adamstown.
They bought and installed the equipment but when they weren't allowed access to this gear at times that suited them, they removed it all in a big huff.
Now, where did they relocate this?
Hardly in Innisfails, did they??
Every county needs pitches for outdoor work and it's no big deal that the Dubs train in Innisfails but that's not even half the story. What centre)s) of excellence do they use and where does the barrage of sports specialists work? Dieticians and the rest of the backroom backups don't put on wellies and trot out the Malahide road, do they, not to mention physiotherapists and probably  psychiatrists also.
It's like saying that the Dubs fundraise for their holidays like everyone else but they don't have to stand out on the pissings of rain shaking plastic buckets at passersby, do they?
Look, make the most of what you have won so far and accept that the good times won't keep rolling forever and leave the coat-trailing and slagging until ye f**k up the AI series same as the Leinster championship.

A lar come on, we are all friends here, its a genuine offer, il show up their training base, and you can compare it to the multi million Euro facilities around the country. PM me and il send on my mobile. Kinsealy is a nice place, the reopened the old Campions pub there accross from the Graveyard, does a bit of food.

I remember the story, they moved the gear to a new Gym built in Parnell Park (makeshift).

I am enjoying it, its a great time to be a Dublin supporter and i know it wont last forever so will enjoy, i plan to  watch the 9 All Ireland finals played this decade the Dubs were in over the Christmas period. Il skip 2012 and 2014  :D and will throw in the Semi final v Kerry 2013, one of the greatest games ever played.
It's a boring time to be a Dublin supporter. The reaction to the last few all Irelands showed it.
Compare to the reaction when Laois beat the hurlers or Mullinalaghta won Leinster.
Honest wins.
An rud is annamh is iontach.

With all due respect, its only boring for non Dubs. The celebrations this year were on par with 2011, i was in about 4 or 5 different places on the day and the day after this years AI and it had that 2011 feeling.

QuoteI dont want to pollute the thread with crap like the above. Apologies to the Connaught folk. It was a genuine question of how other people within Galway feel about Corfins dominance.

You are polluting it with not knowing the spelling of the province.

Misspelling you mean, is that the best you have, obviously have too much time on your hands....

A genuine question, how do fans and players of other clubs in Galway feel about Corofins dominance? or anyone from Armagh (Cross) or Laois (Port) etc,.

Thank you "the greatest " aka  Kerryforsams
Time for a new name again

Defintley not me, i have had two names on this forum, the aristocrat and the greatest. I never denied it, i lost my previous log ins so set up a new account.

Thanks for the acknowledgement.

Are they likely to win 6-7-8 and draw more and more criticism ?
Or would they throw 2020 and start the clock again in 2021 with no hassle ?

Being a Dublin fan, i think we can win it next year, however i dont think we will win 7 in a row and it will open up a bit. Nobody dominates forever, watching the Hurling in the 00s with Kilkenny so far ahead of the pack i probably felt the same as the begrudgers on here feel but look a the hurling now, wide open, tight games, different winners every year.

If you hear Cluxton in the media last week, he doesnt sound like he will be around for much longer, and few will join him, already two high profile players gone. Cracks will appear.

On the other hand, you will see Ciaran Archer join up with the panel(Hopefully), he has the potential to surpass the current talented crop of forwards and be one of the greatest, but must learn his trade.

From Paddy Power:

To win 6 AISF championships in a row in 2020 4/7
To win 7 AISF championships in a row in 2021 6/4
To win 8 AISF championships in a row in 2022 11/4
To win 9 AISF championships in a row in 2023 9/2
To win 10 AISF championships in a row in 2024 15/2

Donegal are 9/1 to win it next year, Tyrone 16/1 and Mayo 18/1 all of which PP think is less likely than Dublin winning ten in a row.
9 in a row has a bad look in an amateur sport that is part of the summer furniture for so many people

Would that be the same case in Galway and Armagh football championships? One team dominating, sure why bother.

7 Galway titles in a row for Corofin. Won the replay 0-11 to 0-8.  Ballintubber v Corofin next Sunday.

A great achievement, are people in Galway getting a bit "why bother" if the same team is winning all the time. Are they looking to change the format to give the lesser teams a chance, is there bitterness towards Corofin?

You decided to log in under your other user name?

Anyway, Corofin don't get special over the top funding from the GAA.
Do Corofin have an incredible backroom team?
They don't have all home games to win their county, Provincial and All Ireland titles.
What is a home game worth in extra points to a home side?
Does the referee give 50/50 decisions to the home side?
I'm sure there is a level of envy within the county, but on the national stage Corofin can lose to anybody.

I dont want to pollute the thread with crap like the above. Apologies to the Connaught folk. It was a genuine question of how other people within Galway feel about Corfins dominance.

1. Dublin senior footballers dont get any funding from the GAA, if they do its the same as other teams. If you are talking about the development money for school children, a recent study has confirmed Dublin are underfunded.
2. The only home games Dublin play are in the O Bryne cup, Dublin use a stadium they cant even train in for the home games, a disadvantage.
3. The Dublin senior fooball team uses half the money on preparation of their team annually compared to Mayo, a disavantage
4. Dublins training facility in Innisfails is miles, and i mean miles behind other countys with the nice new centre of excellence, there is a slant on the pitch and no hot water some times, a disadvantage.

How do the qualifiers work now ?
I assume they are basically capped to 8 teams because the powers that be are assuming there will be 8 division 1 or 2 teams in the 4 provincial finals.
Does this mean the qualifiers can't begin until after the all the provincial semi finals are completed ?
Could a team be waiting for over 6 weeks for a qualifier if they are in the top 2 divisions and get knocked out in a premilarily round game like the losers of the Donegal v Tyrone game in Ulster next year ?

I am happy it was voted in, however i would of went to 3 tiers, Senior, Inter and Junior, like we have in every single county in the country, however too many would complain and play the victim.

Its still not clear to me in some aspects.

Are the supers 8s gone and back to straight knockout QFs in tier 1?
All div 3 and 4 teams get qualifier chance if they lose their provincial final, if they lose their first qualifier do they go into the Tier 2?
Does Tier 2 competition only start when all provincial finals are finished? E.G long wait for first round losers
Will New York play tier 2, will they travel?
The three dates are listed on the left so yes the so-called "Super 8's" are still there, as you'd expect given that's the only level that Croke Park give a shit about any more.

A terrible decision and it'll not improve the fortunes of those of us who are in the wilderness. But as long as certain people can keep themselves in favour in HQ that's what really matters.

It will be there for 2020 anyway and then its up for review as the 3 year trial period is over. I would personally scrap it and bring back knock out quarter finals but an educated guess says those at HQ will probably keep it.

Some interesting comments from Kevin McStay on the introduction of this second tier for the championship

"From what I gather, eight of the counties who could be involved next year voted against it," "That doesn't bode well for the inaugural staging.

"the worry i'd have is Aer Lingus and America could be more enticing to some after their provincial exit,"  "That will always be a concern, Let's say you're a Kildare,Roscommon or Armagh player and you get relegated from Div 2, will you be willing to keep going for this Tier 2 event? that said Div 2 looks really interesting next spring for all teams involved"

I personally hate the Super 8s. I am hopeful for straigh knockout neutral venue Quarter finals from 2021.

Sligo voted for it didn't they?
2 ways out of " the wilderness" - get up to Div  2 or reach a Connacht Final.
Surely both should be Sligo's aim and capability??

I think so, it is realisitic for a lot of tier 2 teams, Division 3 will be extremely competative i would imagine next year, Cork favourites to win it.

Imagine the relegation battle in Div 2 will be near championship level competitiveness.
