University of Galway 0-11 St Mary's 1-7.  From four points down Mary's went one in front late on then University of Galway got the last two scores of the game to win by 1.

A shock result in this evening's other match. Maynooth 2-14 UCC 1-12

St Mary's had that in the bag I thought with that late 1-02. Fair play to Galway - worked those two late scores well.

In fairness to them, they would have little chance to play over the last 3 years with Glen going strong also combined with UUJ getting knocked out in the early rounds
