Quote from: thejuice on May 14, 2024, 10:32:40 PMHard to know what way it'll go. Monaghan have had a long rest as have we but they're on a bit of a downturn. We beat Louth in the league but if you compare the games against Dublin you'd put them ahead of us. Kerry clear winners of this group.Monaghan on "a bit of a downturn" sounds not so bad right now. Completely written off by your own mother would be more accurate, embedded in the long grass.
These 3 games will be the summation of O'Rourkes term. Now is the time to prove his worth, this is what we've been building towards. Now is the time to perform, to show what we're made of, no holding back, no more talk of building. This is it now. Let's see.

Yes, he referred to two different groups / lists of commitments - one was in relation to new / improved centres of excellence (with both Armagh and Monaghan getting a mention) and the other to GAA Stadium infrastructure projects - this latter list included Kerry, Tipp, Louth, Meath, Kildare and Antrim.

A depleted side and potential injury crisis?
Loughlin and Murphy seem to be injured as well. 3 U20s named, our bench isn't just as strong as it seemed during the league.
I hope McEvoy is fit but Harte likes to name bullshit teams so we'll find out on Saturday evening!
Danny McDermott, Ruairi Forbes and who else? were they on the senior panel already this year or added to the panel since the U20 Ulster final defeat.

Ahead of the fiftieth anniversary of the Dublin and Monaghan bombings, the programme asks why no-one was ever brought to justice
Dublin-Monaghan bomb gang investigator says 'there was collusion'
The officer leading the inquiry into the activities of the loyalist gang suspected of being responsible for the Dublin and Monaghan bombings has said he has no doubt there was collusion between the gang and the British security services.
Sir Iain Livingstone heads up Operation Denton, which is examining allegations relating to the activities of the so-called Glenanne Gang, which was based in County Armagh and Mid-Ulster during the Troubles, including its role in the Dublin and Monaghan bombings.
There's been a lot on the radio over the past few days, but given the scale of the bombings in terms of civilian lives lost, its amazing how little has been said about it over the years.
I was in school in the 80s and 90s and it was a footnote in history class at best - there was certainly no in depth coverage or analysis.
It seems many people have been unhappy with the Irish state response to it - presumably in terms of pressuring the British government to investigate probable collusion. Why would the Irish state be reluctant to press the Brits about that though?
Quote from: Tubberman on Today at 08:44:46 PMSimply put, it was totally down to the lack of interest by the toxic sludge FG/Lab coalition government of the day to do anything other than exploit it for their own interests.Quote from: Main Street on Today at 07:59:58 PMThurs night. 21:35 RTE Prime Time

Niall Loughlin is a huge loss from the 26. He's a very underrated forward. Always worth a couple of points and a massive work rate.
