Made reindeer dust with my class today. They are so excitable, counting the sleeps every day and opening the calendar. I love my job-especially at this time of year.

how do you made reindeer dust?

Put one in a cross-cut shredder??

maggie

Good one Treas  ;D

But this is what I used:
Porridge oats
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Glitter

Put them all in a bowl and pass around so everyone gets a stir (adding more cinnamon and glitter)

Then put it in a wee gift bag and attach this rhyme " Sprinkle on the lawn at night.
The moon will make it sparkle bright
Santa's reindeer fly and roam
This will guide them to your home"

They then sprinkle it outside their house on Chritsmas Eve.

oats and glitter mixed together, the kids sprinkle it about the place for santas reindeers to eat and help guide them to the right place.

Edit: I like the addition of spices and poetry, v. nice.

Tried that with my ones too. wasn't overly successful.

I am seriously uninspired this year for presents, usually have a least a couple of ideas but drawing blanks on absolutely everyone this year :(
