You are right regarding the driving but yesterday Rory putted crap and could have had at least 4 or more shots less. Speith as usual putted very strongly.

Wouldn't be surprised if these 2 are in last few groups come Sunday despite the fact they are already 5 behind...

Very much doubt it.

Rory very unlucky with the putts, distance control good but just not reading them. Spieth like Mickleson depending on the short game and putting to keep him in contention. You can't keep that up 4 days in a row and it's just not that easy to find something on the range.

Considering how long McIlroy has been out, that round yesterday was impressive and in the worst conditions too. Also that's before you think he could have been a least 4 shots better. Be interesting to see if he can put another good round today but he looks fresh as opposed to Wentworth/Irish Open where he just looked tired.
