I'm guilty of losing focus on alignment and swing later in the round. Also, do you have one eye on your final score or final result? Perhaps you're not staying in the moment on each shot or each hole.

On both days, as my drives were going well, I started to swing even quicker and that's when it fell apart.  Today, I had 17 good drives and one crap one on the par 5 seventeenth. Think I was trying too hard to rectify rather than taking my punishment.

I also shanked three sandwedge in a row. There's always next wee eh?

What is your official handicap, and how many were you over it after 18 holes?

I shoot 74 pretty regularly.  On the WGT app on my iPad, I mean. On a real course, I've been heard to bark the word Puckoon, or something very like it.

I have moved from 9.8 when the computer closed last November up to 11.5 as of our last revision last week. Our system is a little different, every round of golf played is put into the computer - regardless if you are playing with your buddies and a 6 pack of beer, or playing in your club championship. The "computer" keeps your last 20 scores. Of the last 20, your 10 worst scores are automatically kicked out, and your handicap is formulated from the remaining 10 best scores.
My home course is a fantastic course, but it can be a beast if it gets wet, and when the wind blows. From the 1 ups it plays just shy of 6900 yards. The round posted above was from our weekly skins game. You're trying, and usually failing, to make birdie on every hole just to have a shot at some money. Not a lot of focus on the total in a skins game. 1, 2, 7, 10, 13 and 14 are the hardest on the course for me, if I am struggling with the driver - and I am struggling with the driver at the moment! 13 and 14 in particular have carded 7, 7 on plenty of occasions. 432 yard par 4 uphill to a brutal  green, and a 575 yard par 5 over two lakes.

Never the less, we have our first Major next week, 2 day 2 man matchplay event. Onwards and upwards.
