Fair play to Lowry and i hope he can go all the way. Not that big a surprise really tho. This comp is predictable only for its unpredictability! J. Rose was quoted earlier in the week commenting on how golf differs from, for example, tennis. Tennis grand slams always have the same 4 or 5 players featuring. Whereas this comp would be a major shock if top 4 ranked players made the semis. Lowry and Howell would have been a nice wee double in hindsight! On any day over 18 holes you could throw the proverbial golfing blanket over the top 100 in the golf rankings. Probably a reflection of the equipment as much as ability. On a footnote would be good to see Lowry meet McDowell in 3rd round if they both win today
