Knockmore V Ballina
Breaffy V Westport

13 years since Ballina won it, the most recent of the four teams left.  Could it be that no player likely to see a action in either semi has a county winners medal?
One team will end a big drought, no matter what happens.

David Clarke and David O'Mahony were playing in 2007 and both will start the next day. Ger Caff if he was fit would be starting and he has a medal from 2007. I am not sure but Ciaran Sweeney might have been on the bench in 2007 and he will play a big part the next day against Knockmore too.

Losing a ministerial salary and associated pension entitlements is a lot of money, would you not agree?

Does he get a ministerial pension for being junior  labour minister for a couple of years the last time FF were in government?

In NZ they think it was imported on frozen food products. It's a mystery, it's probable that they never got rid of it in NZ in the first place, just people had it with little or no symptoms. 6% of English appear to have had this already. If your siding with Micheal Levitt, which I'm tending to do, then the English will have herd immunity soon. The Swedes probably will have before the English and will avoid a second wave as they went for a smart lockdown.

I'd like to see stats where this is having long lasting implications on people, especially those with apparent no underlying symptoms. Is it 1 in a million or 1 in a hundred? The ones we here about make it to sky news and the papers but I'd like to know what the odds are / the overall risk.

Sure won't England get to herd immunity quicker since they have a traveller population as well as muslims where as Sweden only has a muslim population? ::) ::)

Lads what do you make of Jack Reilly from Charlestown. I have seen him 4 or 5 times in the flesh and was impressed again watching him on Mayo Gaa TV again at the weekend? Has he ever been involved with the senior set up at all?

Yea, I was at it. Kiltane were poor alright. Ballina will be a sterner test anyway. Can't see us winning it. Sure Ballina are going to steamroll through everyone anyway. At least we can say we're neighbours and in the same group as the county champions.

Most county titles, a few Connacht titles, an All Ireland title and a record of 13 in a row county titles only equaled once by another football team in Ireland, damn right you should be honored to share the same pitch as us! ;D
Sure Swaney O'Hora was only giving ye what you want as we all know that out in bandit country that they only thing ye like more than playing in the backs is to have a team talk where you can point to some Ballina fella saying they are better than you which let's face it is normally true!! ;D ;D
I see Kilfian equaled your own prestigious record of conceding 9 goals in a championship match at the weekend. ;D

This "lockdown" word is getting on my nerves.
What does it entail exactly?
Dairies, food production/processing, chemists, doctors, pharmaceuticals, shops have to keep operating.
Also deliveries to shops etc so haulage has to stay going.
People need some interaction with others especially the many who live alone.

My Aunt lives just outside Milan and there everything is closed apart from certain suoermarkets, pharmacies and hospitals. You are encouraged to stay at home apart from shopping for food. When you go for food only three people at a time are allowed into her local supermarket. Staff in the supervmarket are wearing glives and masks. People are only going out at most once a day but my cousin and her partner haven't gone out in 2 weeks apart from for food!!
Basically lockdown stops the heroes heading out for a few pints are to the hairdressers or pointleesly going to their rat race office job cause they never miss work!! The only people working are health staff, emergency services, some council workers and people employed in the food supply chain.

So it looks like Mayo will be relegated with the league being cancelled.

Having spoken to my Aunt in Italy over the past couple of weeks as a Mayoman I wouldn't even consider this as a talking point or any kind of price to pay if we can avert or reduce the risk somewhat  of what is going in the hospitals over there.
I would much rather avoid getting the virus and keep my elderly parents alive than preserve some bullshit record of being the longest serving division one team!!

Henshaw is dirt too. I remind all the fanboys heralding his coming as the 2nd BOD. Big ad campaign for him from day 1 and he has really failed to deliver. Not that it's his fault but the adulation he got at the start of his career by the media big boys was laughable.

That ad campaign only started when he was at Leinster and he was tearing it up for Connacht for two years before that and playing well for Ireland( the England game in the 2015 six nations and the France game in the 2015 world cup!!). So to say he has never delivered is harsh.
In fairness he looked the part playing 13 for Connacht with Bundee in a system that focused on attacking heads up rugby.
Maybe you could argue he has failed to deliver since his controversial move to Leinster.
Maybe a move back home to Connacht might be best for him.

Trubisky played well? He averaged 3.6 air yards per attempt. His performance against the lions was better than last night. All this little Chicago run will do is condemn them to another year of Nagy and Mitch.

It wasn't too bad last year.

If you've a problem with people saying he played well you've a lot of people to have a problem with. Most people said he played well. And good luck to him after all the flak he has taken. Nagy deserves more in my opinion but both need to do better.

So the Steelers are now two wins into their rest of the season where they won't win any games!  ;D . Buffalo and at Jets next two - both winnable. Think they'll need to win them to make the playoffs.
And your take on Marcus Mariota? Tannehill is lighting it up in Tennessee yet they didn't have any weapons ? Only the third QB in HISTORY to have 4 consecutive games with a QB rating of 130 or higher. Mariota held them back and arguably had Tannehill been there from the start of the year the Titans would be vying for a bye week in the playoffs . Marcus Mariota won't get a solid starting position again in the NFL . He'll start for someone again, but as a backup , which is his level.

And your take on Tannehill at Miami? Trubisky is the first QB in NFL history to complete over 70% of his passes on 30 plus pass attempts, throw for 3 touchdown passes, rush for 50 or more yards and rush for a touchdown in one game and he did this on primtime at home against Dallas when the Bears were a 3 point home underdog!!
My point being is there are plenty of hot takes on young qb's these days outside of a Mahomes or a Manziel probably it is best to wait till their fourth or fifth year or even a new team like Tannehill before you write off a young qb! So I will wait another while yet before annoiting Tannehill or burying Trubisky or Mariota!!

Spot on but you underestimate how thick the normal brit is. All you see on the news is smearing of labour and JC. It's ironic that given the age of smart phones we now have the ability to check or disprove any claim within a few minutes on Google. Unfortunately it seems the vast majority can't be bothered to do so.

The Irish are no brighter, except we've only had a socialist education system since the 90s. They've had one since the 60s.

What the f**k are you on about? I went to school in the 90's and it was a bog standard shitbox cold all boys catholic secondary school. It was only socialist in that teachers and students were both subject to the same freezing cold dump buildings with f**k all resources!!

Nagy is going nowhere , the bears are done probably for the season, I'd imagine they'll just play out the season now.
I'd think Freddie Kitchens is in serious trouble in Cleveland , beat agin today by a bad Denver team. They have a soft schedule the rest of the way , I think he could be gone tomorrow or Tuesday. Probably should never have gotten that job, but that's Cleveland for you I guess. Raiders have turned it around , and are actually very good offensively , but their D is brutal....
Pats and Ravens about to start , I think the Ravens could chin them tonight...

That's why he should be sacked!
The QB will get the blame first , that's typically how it is , I'm not sold on Naggy either.
I still believe the Bears should have traded for Bridgewater last week. Trubiskey isn't the answer , it's hard to know what they do now. Cam Newton probably done in Carolina and some other free agent QBs will be on the market next year .

Ya. I'm just sympathetic to Trubisky because there's a lot more wrong with the offense than him. They're not or they can't run the football so defenses are keying in on Trubisky. Getting rid of Howard and drafting a RB (of equal ability) made no sense with so few picks available. An extra o-line man would have made more sense. It's frustrating because this is a good roster and it will probably start to fall apart now. Maybe next year will be sh1t or bust.....could see the Bears going after Cam Newton in free agency alright which may not be the wisest either.

I am rooting for Trubisky too Seanie as he seems like a dedicated fella and by all accounts is a great leader and works his ass off to try and get better but the problem is, as bad as the offensive unit has been this year with inconsistent o line, inconsistent wr's( apart from Robinson) and missed assignments in every game killing us, the fact is Trubisky has regressed badly this year and is heading towards Rex Grossman levels of bad or for the older more scared fans like me Cade McKnown levels of bad (if that can be even called a level!!).
He has 8 games left to really show something and even if he does light it up for the last 8 games I would still bring in real competition in the off season be it a vet ( Bridgewater/Mariota etc..) or a draft pick (Jake Fromm/Sam Elingher etc..) because he is nowhere near a franchise qb at all and getting worse!!
I am wiling to cut Nagy a little slack because apart from the Saints game we have been in every game this year and not blown out like the Trestman years and also the team is young and unfortunately these young guys like Floyd, James Daniels, Eddie Jackson, Anthony Miller and Roquan Smith have been very up and down so far so lets see how the season plays out. Nagy has tried to run the ball more in the last two games but the O line has been so inconsistent so far this year and was absolute trash in the first half against the Eagles. Plus Trubisky cannot process the pre snap and post snap reads quick enough for Nagy to run anything more than a bare bones offence at the moment. The Eagles had eight stacked in the box leaving their secondary in one on one situations the whole game daring Mitch to beat them from the pocket and he couldn't which is a huge problem!!
I do think Montgomery is a better running back than Howard and if we had tight ends that could actually block at all along with a consistent O line like last year you would see how much a better fit he is for this offence than Jordan Howard. I loved Howard but he just doesn't fit what Nagy wants to scheme.
On the tightends they have been muck all year in passing downs or blocking in the run game. Maybe Burton is banged up but if Shaheen doesn't pick up soon he will surely be a strong cut candidate in the off season and the Bears definitely need to draft a tightend at some stage next April!!

I would like to see Mick start Josh cullen instead of Whelan against the Swiss.
