Winter Olympics 2018
« on: February 12, 2018, 09:24:47 AM »
Thought there would be a thread on this already.
Anyone watching?
Watched a good bit of it over the weekend.
The Biathlon was on there this morning which is a mix of skiing and shooting.
I'll watch pretty much any of the sports.

I'll watch pretty much any of the sports with women in tight lycra.

Was in a bar on Saturday night and they had the curling on the TV. It was strangely compelling.

Its even better to play, it takes a lot of touch to get good at it.

It's interesting how they can steer the thing, speed it up or slow it down while it's in mid-flight. Something you could never do with ordinary bowls

Had the same brush for 14 years. It's had 3 heads and 2 handles.

Was listening to 2FM on the way to work this morning and they were on about an "Irish" competitor in the half pipe skiing called Brendan "Bubba" Newby. They played audio of him and it was kind of stereotypical stoner/skateboarder stuff......he was "stoked" and "fired up to ride the pipe"....that kind of thing. It being Breakfast Republic I assumed it was a wind up. Imagine my surprise to open the42 app and see Mr Newby there in all his glory.....seems it's true.
