Looked it up and the drive times, plus boat times would add up to over a day way plus roughly the same cost as a flight and car rental. We are only planning another week.

Anyone stayed in La Croix Du Vieux Pont?

Is that Frejus? Or Les Messanges?
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Stayed in loads of these campsites. La Croix Du Vieux Pont is up there with the best of them. The site is very spacious and very clean. Usually stay with AlFresco here in the annex which is like an extension to the park. Disney/Paris are about 1hr15 away so they are options for day trips. Flight and car rental is how we always do it. Only downside we've found in La Croix Du Vieux Pont is that due to being further north, the weather isn't as good as southern France/Spain but not much they can do about that. Highly recommend it!

It is the one about an hour away from Charles de Gaulle airport, at Berny Riviere. Eurocamp are offering up to 40% discount if you take a second holiday in the same calendar year which is tempting us, though it has to be 'off season' so after September 3rd, but we don't mind that. We aren't chasing the sun, it's actually better milder with the child.

Folks, looking to head away at the start of July with the boss and 2 kids. Thinking of mainland Spain or one of the islands. Any recommendations for all-inclusive hotels?
try magic natura.  Its just outside benidorm.  We didnt leave the compound once and spent the total of 30 euro while there.

Thanks HiMucker. If you don't mind me asking why room type would you recommend? Plenty of options there.
We just got a basic cabin with two bedrooms. Two wanes in one room and the baby in the cot.  I wouldnt bother with any of the rooms with sea view or pool view.  They didnt seem any better.  There is golf buggies beating about every 5 mins so you dont need to worry about walking if your knackered.  You can bring bottles of wine up to the cabin at the end of the night also.  Unlimited access to zoo and water park.  Its cheaper with jet2 than booking seaprately and you dont need to worry about your backage.

Thanks again. We were looking at the other rooms but that is great advice. The wife will be happy about the wine! Will get looking into it more. Cheer!
Well HiMucker, we are just back from there. The Kids had a ball and the boss was very happy. Thanks for the advice. We picked a good week as towards the end it started to get busier. Thanks again.

Anyone have any info on Kenmare or Killorglin? Thinking of booking one or the other for August/early Sept. Would either have sufficient apartments/houses to rent?

Looking for a house for the first week of august in Donegal
Left it late I know!
Somewhere close enough to the beach and bar/restaurant but not overly important
Any help much appreciated!

Air bnb might be your best bet at this stage!

Looking to go to Italy for a week at the end of May. Amalfi Coast or Tuscany or something. Any ideas? I think July and August would be too hot.

Dougal Maguire

You're not wrong there. Not long back from Rome. Heat stifling. End May should be fine. You might want to consider Liguria, some lovely places there.
Careful now

We spent a week in Cavanagh's Cottage just outside Carndonagh there in July, it was great. Had a look and it's booked out for August but the location itself was good if you got somewhere round there, we were five mins away from Culdaff beach, then only a short drive to the likes of Inishowen, Redcastle, Moville or further on to Malin and Buncrana. Did the famine village as well which was very good.

Ended up booking here for the middle of September, the 40% discount was too good to pass up on.

Added on a couple days in Disney as well which has ended up costing more than the flights, Eurocamp and car rental combined. Ridiculous but sure the child will love it.

Anyone have any info on Bray? What to see, stay, eat, etc?

Positano is nice. Rome is a disaster in July/Aug when lots of walking is combined with heat and humidity.

36C-39C in Rome this week and it would be packed, not ideal conditions.
