Not sure if either have been mentioned but Serioes 2 of Sweet Tooth is on Netflix. It's about a disease wiping out mankind while hybrid animal-kids are blamed and hunted.

Such an odd show that could be so despressing but it is actually uplifted by the kids and the good guys. There is one little character called Bobby (an animatronic groundhog in a dungarees) and he has some hilarious moments. Just be warned it may seem like a kids show, but there is a fair bit of violence.

Also, Series 2 of The Curse on Channel 4 is something you will tear through. A bunch of dimwits rob a load of gold in East End London and are on the run now. The comedian Tom Davis wrote some of it and he plays a character called Big Mick Neville - gold dust! Again, you can see it on the C4 Player and you will fly through it.

Thanks for the head's up. Really enjoyed that and series one.

Hi folks , looking a few recommendations for a family holiday pls. Children 3-7. Been to centre parks a few times . V impressed with it but the wife looking to go further a field this summer. Any ideas for Scotland , eng or wales ? Thinking of taking the yoke and getting the boat across . Would be part of the experience for the children . Thanks in advance

Not an experience that I'd wish on my kids.

Had to do a long journey on M6  a couple of weeks ago.  Absolute nightmare.  Stop start for 5 hours.

The run from Holyhead to Chester is a beautiful drive and there was little traffic
.

Have a look at Keycamp in France. We did it for years when the kids were younger

Holyhead to Birmingham via the A5 and through Eryri (Snowdonia) is even nicer and cuts out the worst of the (road to hell) M6.

Not a wedding but I was at a Christening 2 weekends ago in which there were 80+ people in the chapel and for food afterwards in a local hotel. In my day Christenings were just a thing for a few immediate relatives.

Aah, weddings, christenings and now first holy communion season is upon us. My granddaughter is making hers this Saturday and I'm strangely looking forward to seeing her all dressed up.

Great final and both players gracious in victory and defeat.
Congratulations to Brecel, a worthy and deserving winner.

Yeah it would be easier to fix best of 7 or 9 matches rather than a best of 33 one.

Si just too inexperienced to know what to do when the tide was turning against him. Hopefully he can kick on as he is great to watch and not go the road of his other mates from China.

14 frames to 5 down what were the odds on Brecel then?
How hard is it to "miss" a few shots?
Hard to call one way or the other.

Sadly Tommy McGrath's in Dungannon is no more, used to live in the place. But love Cleary's in Amiens Street, great pint of stout and sound barmen. Collins loved the place too. Enough said.

Very atmospheric and best of all an 'early house' AIF Sunday.

Found ourselves in Teac Jack in Bunbeg after Christmas.  Not everyone's cup of tea, but there was a trad music festival on in the area, and they were hosting a guitar session in the bar, the fire was lit, it was lashing outside, the wild Atlantic was down below us, and in between the music, I sat listening to the lads at the bar chatting away as gaeilge.  Brilliant.

Other than the fact that I was driving and had a 10 month old and 2 year old with me.  Despite that, the OH had a pint and was sent another one by a local fella in the bar who saw him dipping his finger in and letting the baby taste it.

Stayed in teac Jacks twice and loved it both times. Its not the Hilton for sure but good vibe in the bar with the live music. Weird to hear Irish being spoke by some with Glaswegian accents, lots of cross over that area to Scotland. Sean Ogs just up the road is sound as well.

What about The Thatch, Kiltullagh Maddog?

Close when growing up, drifted apart once an busy adult life took over and only see each other at weddings or funerals now.

Same as that although when we do meet up (and there's a lot of us) the years roll back and we have a great time together.
They would also have my back as I would theirs.

Who remembers 1970's tv series Citizen Smith, with the lead character played by Robery Lindsay?

Fun fact: When Wolfe Tone went to America, he took the pseudonym Citizen Smith. And what was the name of the character played by Lindsay? Wolfie!

The creater of Citizen Smith was born in London to Irish parents.

Soccer, all day long. I've come across few Dublin soccer heads who get upset when you don't call it football though.
In England they've turned against the word in recent years because they now think it's an Americanism.

Most football/soccer supporters I know couldn't give a fcuk if it's called either of those. I'd say both of those words.

Old enough to remember 1974 on the TV. For some reason Holland v Brazil sticks in memory, I think because it was bucketing rain, Cruyff was biggest name in football and, as far as I recall, Brazil wore blue, which was shock. I also distinctly remember final. Dutch underestimated West Germany big time.

Best ever game IMO, Italy 3-2 Brazil. That 1982 Brazil team greatest never to win World Cup.

Nope, that was Holland in '74. Imo.

Had it in their grasp, went 1-0 up in final, but got cocky. Brilliant team, all right. Funny how memory plays tricks. Was convinced Holland v Brazil was played in a downpour, watched highlights again on YouTube other night and it was dry. Weird. Will say, under modern refereeing, there would have been at least four straight red cards, they kicked shit out of each other, there was even a rugby tackle by one Brazilian  ;D

There was arrogance about that Dutch team and the German's knew how to exploit it.
Thirty years after WW2 and there was still an underlying if unspoken bitterness between those two nations.
