In Galway, probably Aran Islands, given travel difficulties involved. Some of the more western Connemara clubs, e.g. Clifden, Carna, Renvyle, can involve a fair travel distance for north Galway clubs.

I think a definition of "isolated" is needed here.

OK. Not the definition I expected.

It's isolated obviously but 30-40 mins from relatively functioning towns in Killybegs & Ardara, who aren't far from big towns themselves. You'd spend that in the boat getting out to the club on the Aran Islands. Valentia island obviously. Achill island would be isolated enough too. Letterfrack maybe on the mainland

Kilcar is closer again to Glen than Ardara and Killybegs.

I think a definition of "isolated" is needed here.

I imagine it's distance from the next nearest GAA club.

You'd imagine it would be some club in the wilds of west Cork, south Kerry, Connemara, west Mayo or Donegal but who knows?

Very good Hardy!
Farr, you could help me out here. I was having an argument with a few Mayo buddies recently  about isolated GAA clubs in the county. (A spin off from this topic.)
Obviously, Achill came up but the argument quickly descended to a quarrel when I said there was no point in trying to name any GAA club on the island because there is none. The only club in that area is across the Sound on Corraun, near the community college. Can you come to my rescue? ;D

You're correct. The pitch is situated on the eastern side of the bridge on Corraun peninsula.

We played some underage games on a pitch just backing on to the beach at Keel but that pitch long gone now I think. Played at the secondary school also.
